do you get fed up when people dont listen on here?

You give them good advice and yet they still question you. It really makes me wonder why we bother sometimes!!

Sometimes, especially when the true facts about PPCs are spelled out and they still are not convinced. There is a perfect example over on CAG when somebody (who also posted on here) was worried about a ticket from TCP. They were told to ignore and to view the Watchdog clip but they still replied thus:-

Thanks for your comments and I have watched the video BUT I am still unsure what to do with respect to this company called Town & City Parking Ltd who issued the parking charge notice to me. I did call the customer services team in Asda on saturday and they said as I hadn't parked in a diabled spot or was not parking in an unsfae manner they were surprised I had got a ticket and they just said write to the company who issued the ticket because although they employ them to man their car park they can't do anything for me themselves! I am going to go back to the store today to see if I can see any signs anywhere that mention a charge is leikel if you are out of bay over the lines. I have been shopping at Asda the same store more than once a week every weeek and I have never had anything like this before.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • I do get spells where I don't feel like posting for just this reason, it does pass fairly quickly.

I think there are many who come here get told to ignore the PPC who then go on to pay them and never repost! I don't know if its because they don't believe us that a minuscule amount of these things ever go anywhere, and it is only certain companies who try it on.

I do agree sometimes it gets tiresome having to keep reassuring people after each letter they receive. However if doing so stops them paying its worth it!

I dip in and out for this very reason. When I got my first invoice I did a google, came here and read the threads. It was hardly rocket science to understand the advice but I guess there's a lot of stupid people out there which is backed up by the fact that PPCs still make money.

I truely admire Coupon Mad's long, detailed and calm advice given she must have to re-type it a million times.

My 'fav' is the 'I know everyones says to ignore, but do you think I should ignore??' retards.

Closely followed by the 'I have read all the threads and stickies, but you see my car is blue, does that make a difference?' imbeciles.

:rotfl:Have you had a bad day today... some classic posts on some threads...

It is frustrating but lets also remember that PPC's trade best on the very type of people (and their insecurities) whose posts annoy us most and equally, I think we get through to most of them in the end! We might get annoyed with some posters, but at least 90% of the time, the PPC doesn't get any money from them!

We maybe should set up a "These are the things we have heard before - so why do you think you are different" thread? ;)

You can lead a horse to water............ and all that.
Also, a fool and his money.... etc.

The general forum advice to 'ignore' PPC's can also be applied to any poster who is not prepared to do even a little basic research and to accept and trust the advice given.
Yes, it can be frustrating but why get wound-up about it?
No one here is under any obligation to respond; it's all a matter of personal choice of course.

Absolutely agree, far better not to post at all rather than vent one's frustrations on a newbie with a belittling/sarcastic rant
