Heard about "Shiply" the other day - might be suitable?

I've used them a lot; it's a really good system.

No, it's a divan base. If it took to pieces we would manage to fit it and the mattress in our estate car

What about a roof rack or renting a trailer (if you have a tow bar).

I guess the offer of Derby right past Gloucester isn't amenable then!

    Not to worry.

Funny how you thank someone who can't do it - but don't bother with someone who can.

That made me laugh, although to be fair when I read your first post I presumed you were joking so guess the op made the same assumption :o

What we seem to want on here is mostly problems, not solutions. I should keep telling myself that ;)

ETA: in fact if my mother's house sale goes through, I am moving her single bed later that afternoon, so the camper will be set up from the start to take a single bed. What are the odds of that?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

I'd suggest a courier company. Have a look at Interparcel - they'll give you quotes from a variety of carriers. You need to know the dimensions and weight of the package, and it'll need to be securely boxed up.

    What??? Securely boxed up??? eh??

That will give you quotes for next day carriers. None of which will carry a divan bed.

Wasn't he going on Friday?? It wasn't Friday yet when you posted this!! I know meeting up with someone from online might not be everyone's cup of tea but I don't know what other suggestions you could have expected when you have already said you can't hire a van or pay a fortune.
