Shame I didn't know - I've been from Nottingham to Swindon today in my 4m van with a 28" square box in the back and nothing else!
And yes, for a proper courier your looking about £1 a mile or so.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Sell your bed and get her a new one, people always want beds on ebay. Faceboook also have groups where people can buy and sell locally.0

The bed will probably take to pieces and become not very big at all - it's the mattress you'll struggle with I should think.0

There are couriers that advertise on e-bay that do runs up and down the country so isn't on a time definite service (i.e. a next day by noon or the like)
I think we used these guys http://www.silversprint.co.uk/12.html to get a china cabinet from Edinburgh to Leeds and they were excellent0 -
Organise a charity fun run!0

I would recommend AnyVan (think its .co.uk) Just tell them what you need and people bid on it. Sort of like ebay. It also shows those that are recommended and feedback from other people0

No, it's a divan base. If it took to pieces we would manage to fit it and the mattress in our estate carI try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -

I know a man with a van local to cheltenham (next door to gloucester). I have used him a few times and he is really good.
I think he charges £20 an hour on weekdays and £30 an hour on weekends. Just looked on google maps. four hour round trip plus an hour for traffic and loading/unloading is £100 on weekday and £150 on weekends. He will even help take it upstairs if needed.0
