Welcome back Alice - I have missed you and your discussions of pegging out.
I nearly posted on here over Xmas/New Year as I pegged out as it was such a lovely day.
So in honour of you returning to the fold I pegged out yesterday, just a load of towels and a duvet cover and they were practically dry by the time I got them in at 2, just needed a quick air and were then put away.

Hi Alice good to see you back enjoy your diary.
Re game console, we have the same problem our DS2 got a game console too with the benefit of PPI lol, however he has spent more and more time on it and what is usually a very energetic out doors boy has been getting more and more attitude. So we are cutting down his use was feeling a bit bad to say he can use between 6-8 at night but if he has a club on at these times that is just the way it is. So now i think hopefully he will only manage about max 1 hour a night. Caught him the other evening up till 11.30 still talking to friends.... Theyre not even in high school yet!

Hi jubilee, I know it's really tough getting the balance right. It is for their own good in the long run, we're doing the right thing.:)

Well checked the 365 challenge pot today and it's short. Hmmm not sure why, OH is in charge of it so who knows. Will put it right tonight.
I had the heated airer on last night, all the washing is dry, just got a huge ironing pile now.
Looking forward to starting afresh tomorrow. I'm going to keep a track of NSDs, back to meter readings every fortnight and keeping my spending diary up to date. Also I must update my signature!
We haven't had any financial help with our little (well not so little!) lodger. It certainly hasn't been about the money, it's about giving them a chance in life because the parents just couldn't get their act (I wanted to put a swear word in here but I refrained) together. I'm going to call him DL (darling lodger).
Hope everybody has a good day.

Love the DL....:) Well done. Its an amazing thing to help in that way. Proper love. You're offering stability and a real helping hand. Am sure it'll come back to you with interest..
(and do ask him to help with practical stuff even if he has (genuinely) no money to offer)
We couldn't survive without out L9keland heated airer...thanks so much for recommending it. Often think of you!!
Going back to our energy supplier for a reassessment as by their account (which I think is wrong but anyhow) we are £200 in credit!! Can't be right but anyway have asked them to offer us a new (much lower!!) monthly DD. Not using the woodburner much..wood is running low and I don't want to buy a new shed load (we buy in bulk) as we should be through the worst of the winter...but if the gas bill shoots up I may regret that. In fact writing this has made me think I should check exactly how much wood we have left in the shed..and then reassess..it is only 2 Feb after all :rotfl:..MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Morning everyone, we're having a bit of a lazy morning today as all the sports clubs are cancelled. Have pegged two loads out :T including some coats. Got another load in the machine too.
I've got a list of where we are at with the debts, here goes.......
First figure is Jan 17, second figure is Jan 18
Bcard 1126/1126 still not paying anything off this. The debt is with PRA but we haven't received anything from them since we left stepchange.
Bcard 4835/4775 this has been transferred to PRA.
Loan 800/230
C@pital 2630/2565
Ybank 3651/3595
MBNA 799/326
S@antader 811/321
Ybank 203/0
Doesn't make pleasant reading. Eight debts, three under £500, c'mon Alice you can bust these.
Today should/will be a NSD, first one of February. Yesterday and Friday we put petrol in both cars. Food shop done in sburys and @ldi, total spent £67. I had my hair cut and blow dried yesterday, OH and DS3 went to the barbers. Total spent £26/£18.

Thanks brizzle. I love the heated airer too. It does take some getting used to though don't you think. Layering clothes on an airer is a bit alien.:rotfl:
DL is pulling his weight to be fair. We've never had a problem with him in the past when he's stayed here. We're treating him as we do our kids, firm but fair.. I would never stand on a soap box and preach how to bring kids up, but what I've learnt that teenagers are getting up to and their parents don't have any idea about their little angels has kept me awake a night. It's frightening. Fingers crossed our DL will come good in the end.
Good luck with the energy supplier. It's meant to turn cold again next week.
