Hi,
I've been lurking on your thread for a while and I'd just to like to say that I'm so sorry for you. That is totally unacceptable, especially his response.
I'm amazed at how you've kept it together for your family, especially with so many financial set backs.
I have a feeling he's just being selfish and purposefully blind, it's the hardest thing but he needs to know why you're so upset. You've kept together on a shoestring budget and you need his support sometimes.
He should afford you some basic respect and not contact certain people when it upsets you so much. You are an amazingly strong person! I hope he apologises.Debts: ASDA Loan - £6,848.01

Thank you for your post Steerpike and your kind words. OH hasn't apologised, if fact today he has just carried on as if nothing has happened. I need to speak to him and sort this situation out or should I say we need to talk and both sort it out.
I think we should wait until DS1 goes on his travels again.....that will be in 2-3 weeks time. Splitting up doesn't come into the equation (even though I threatened him yesterday), we've just got to work through it. He hasn't respected me for a long time and people have said I'm too soft with him (following previous events!!)
On the money front I called into supermarket on way home and spent our last £6 and borrowed £10 off DS1...he is eating most of the food.:o. Just got butter, milk, bread, fruit, cereal and stuff for lunchboxes.
OHs payday tomorrow, will need to get petrol, pay childcare and works lottery.
I did 2 loads of washing last night for pegging out today...:D....when I came downstairs this morning OH was already pegging it out. Im certainly not moaning but I like to peg out.:rotfl::o

Just bimbling along here. No further developments between me and OH. I still feel pretty sad/frustrated about our situation but just going to play happy families for the time being.
I've given DS2 some dinner money today, last day at school.
I've taken the money out for DS3s childcare next week.
Roll on the weekend.

Well that was a 5 minute weekend! Yesterday went food shopping, cupboards and fridge all stocked up. At least there aren't as many packed lunches to do over the holiday.......I find them a real pain.:o
Today DS1 had some friends round so we had a BBQ.......at least they brought their own beer.:D
Haven't really done any housework (just flicked the vacuum round yesterday) nor gave I done the ironing, so had a pretty chilled out weekend.:) in fact I didn't even do any washing to peg out today.:rotfl:
Need to update spending diary, no idea how many NSDs we've had so far this month....not many!!
Have got money for DS3s holiday club this week. Need to decide how much extra to give DS2 so he can self manage his money, then once it's gone, it's gone.
Looking forward to payday......feel the need to start afresh.....again.:o

Agree with you about the packed lunches..such a chore!
So enjoying being on a train with a spare seat next to me..feels like I can breathe and enjoy catching up on the diariesGood things in life are certainly small
Sorry re OH. Stay calm but sorry you're sad. Does the job uncertainty worry him, even if he is oblivious to it/isnt aware of how he is reacting?MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

I don't do packed lunch but a friend used to pack a months worth of cheese, ham and corned beef sandwiches and freeze them, each morning he just grabbed one and by lunch it had defrosted.Sealed pot challenge 822

Oooo sitting alone on a train, just watching the world whizz past certainly appeals to me at the minute.:) hope you had a good trip.
I don't know what makes him do these things brizzle. He seems to have settled into his new tedious role, but he hasn't really said anything about work to be fair. It's not the first time he's done this 'sort of thing'. He's acting like nothing has happened so we're just back to 'normal'.:odawnybabes wrote: »I don't do packed lunch but a friend used to pack a months worth of cheese, ham and corned beef sandwiches and freeze them, each morning he just grabbed one and by lunch it had defrosted.
Wow that's one organised friend, the things some folk do for an extra 10minutes in bed eh!;)
The thing with the lunches is making them appetising once they're opened. Warm sandwiches, soggy grapes and a warm yogurt does not appeal to me, I always put a ice pack in and try and make it appealing, even though once DS2 has dragged it round school all morning I dread to think what it looks like.

Had a bit of a tidy up out the front last night, washed garage door, cleaned the paintwork down, got rid of all the cobwebs and swept the path. It didn't take very long but it didn't half make a difference.....and it makes me feel better.:)
Tonight I must have a look at the budget and plan for the next few weeks. I'm feeling quite determined at the moment.:)
Have booked a hair appointment for Saturday, just couldn't wait any longer.
Not meaning to keep on about OH but I did ask him last night if he'd heard from his ex, he said she'd contacted him the other night when he took DS2 to football, just a quick hello. He said he replied that he was a football and left it at that. The reason he didn't ask how she was is because I 'don't like it', like I was being unreasonable?!? perhaps I am??:(
Anyway I'm not going to go on about the situation.......unless something drastic happens and I feel the need to rant (nobody to rant to in RL). This diary is about [STRIKE]me[/STRIKE] us getting this debt paid off and then we'll see what happens.
