Thanks brizzle, we've got everything crossed re the car.
OH has been a bit better today. I nipped to sburys and @ldi whilst OH and DS3 were at the barbers and the park. I spent £60ish in total.
I pegged outand luckily we were back before the rain came. Tomorrow I'm going to get the house work done. OH said he'll have a look at the car in the morning ( hope he does
)
Had a lovely chill out at the hairdressers.:)

Thanks dawnybabe, I've heard good feedback from using it. I did mention it today, did get a 'yes' but didn't get a 'no' either. I suggested we get the info about it and taking it from there.:)
The kids got a bit cabin feverish today. Did the housework this morning, OH had a quick look at the car but couldn't get to the plugs easily and it was pouring with rain so decided to leave it for the garage (got everything crossed!!).
Made a curry for tea, used chicken thighs (not my usual choice of cut of meat I must confess) was OK, clean plates all round. Had the radio on playing the top 40 whilst we cleaned up. We were talking about how we used to tape the top 40 and try not to record any of the talking in between the records (showing my age here :rotfl:). OH seemed more with it today.:o:)
Today was NSD 10. Money pots sorted, purse empty.
Hope everybody has a good week.

Hi Alice,
I have taken a few days to read through your diary and I have to say how impressed I am at your dedication to washing and ironing!
Like some of the other posters, I do agree with them that it sounds like your husband might be a bit depressed. Has he tried taking the NHS depression test? Unfortunately I can't link to it because I'm a new member.
A while ago you wrote about your laptop overheating. Sadly mine did this for a while, getting hotter and hotter no matter how much I opened the window to cool the room. And one day it diedAnd I had to buy another to replace it. From memory, I think it was caused by a fault with the motherboard so if that could be replaced then maybe your laptop problem would be solved.

Laptops getting hot are normally the fans getting clogged up with dust - a quick last with the Hoover / hair dryer can help .Sealed pot challenge 822

The head gaskets gone on the car, they've quoted £700. OH (more about him in a minute!) is going to call another garage to see what they say. I can't actually speak about it at the moment.
(Can get my 'smiley faces' to work on my computer at work :-()Hi Alice,

Hi Janvier, thank you for your post. I've found the NHS depression test and printed it out, although OH hasn't done it yet. He was actually OK last night, just how he used to be so didn't want to rock the boat.
I am a bit obsessed with the washing and ironing, especially pegging out.............a bit embarrassing.
Thanks for the laptop tip, will ask about that.

Thanks dawnybabes, will try this too. I am trying not to use it, I can get on the internet on my phone so not totally cut off from the outside world!! But its not the same.
I've got the info on STW, could be worth a go but getting him to take it could be tricky.
xx
Just going back to OH, like I say he was fine last night, not OTT but just how he used to be. Mind you he did go out to football so didn't see him much hehehe..........but all this was before the diagnosis on the car.
I suppose the car will dominate tonight. I was going to have a look at the budget anyway. ggggrrrrrrrr
