    Hi Alice
I'm still here following your journey although not posting much at the moment. Just wanted to say well done on the progress you're making. Every step forward counts where the money balance war is concerned. And when you win that war, look out for a big back pat from me :)
  • Another spend day! Just a drink at the sports club whilst the kids were playing, then went to get birthday present, card etc, then to sburys and got ds3 some smart trainers, hair stuff, fruit and few other bits. Also got some of my usual moisturizer (on offer).

The story behind the moisturiser is that a friend started selling @v0n, so to do my bit I ordered some moisturiser which was much cheaper than the one I've used for the last 20odd years. Bad mistake, my skin has been terrible, so when I saw my usual stuff on offer I just had to have it ;). Tried to save a few £s but will have to stick with what I know on this occasion.

MTG and KP, yeah OH should be able to do the bulb. Just so fiddly, have to go up through wheel arch......apparently. I'm sure he'll be fine.:)

Baileys Babe, we're with you all the way with keeping the heating off until November.......well I am anyway, will just tell everbody to put more layers on.:D

Thanks pixnmix hope you're ok, I can only imagine how it's going to feel when we make our last payment to stepchange..........don't want to wish my life away but I can't wait.:o

Managed to get 3 loads washing dried today, but the house is right state! Off to get ready for party, housework can wait until tomorrow.;)

I have no problem with the children, they no to put something else on or grab a blanket to wrap yourself in whilst watching TV, its OH yesterday walking round in shorts moaning he was cold, he as duly told to change into some trousers, put on socks and slippers, a long sleeved shirt & jumper, make us a warm drink and then get on with something physical like sweeping the floor. Result OH stopped moaning, I got a cup of tea and a clean kitchen floor:rotfl:

Congratulations on the washing we hung ours out but its still damp so I'll need to rehang in on the airers.

My OH will put layers on but still moan he's cold. Today it is a bit fresh but I've opened the windows and doors to get some air in whilst I do some jobs and he's moaning how 'cold' it is. Mind you he doesn't moan when he plays football in the middle of winter with shorts on!!:rotfl:

Have done meter readings this morning and we are now £142 in credit.:)

Had a great night last night although over spent on budget.:o

  • I've taken off the NSDs on my sig, over the last 12months the average was 11 per month.

I will carry on trying for as many NSDs as possible but with Christmas coming up I didn't want that guilty feeling if I see something suitable for a present but I'm trying to keep up with the NSDs........if that makes sense.

  • Yesterday and today have been NSDs funnily enough. Still keeping a tally even though I'm not really logging them on here.:)

Will need to get petrol tomorrow and probably also get cash for childminder, lottery etc.

A bit of a plodding week this week!

  • Thanks brizzle, will certainly try my best.:)

Yesterday I got petrol in both cars, a few bits from sburys, ordered flea stuff, and got cash. Needed money for childminder, lottery, DS2 needs £30 for school stuff, and we are out again on Saturday to a party. Still need to think of a present for a 40yr old male??? and sort money out for drinks.

Usual payment went to stepchange (£475) today that leaves the account looking very bare :(.........roll on next Thursday when OH gets paid again.:)

We went to a 40th recently, I went to the supermarket, picked up one of these free wine carriers, Filled it with six bottles of artisan beers .. Total cost around £15, He was delighted. .. Oh we did customise the cardboard carrier with suitable cut out pictures too . It didnt just say T35co all over it ! lol
Its just a bad day, Not a bad life ..
  • Thanks Mara, that is a fab idea, one I shall use for a relative's Christmas present, unfortunately the guy on Saturday night does like 'beer' so at this rate he'll end up with a crate of lager.lol. xx
