Awww thank you JB, it is quite an enormous amount and sometimes it is very daunting. Glad you've got your finances in order, I wouldn't wish our situation upon anybody.:(
You're more than welcome to join this journey to becoming debt free, but be warned I do ramble on a bit.:)
Yesterday we went to sort OHs specs out so whilst in town I went to the £1 shop, spent £14 and then called in the 'well known freezer shop' to get some bits.
Today have ironed all the washing that was dry, pegged another load out, prepared everything for dinner (and going to make cottage pie for tomorrows tea later too), now going to have a tidy up in the garden. Still trying to persuade OH to clean the gutters out!!
Also have sorted bus and milk money for the week and still have some money in my purse........now that makes a change.:D

Hi Alice I am still with you, Well done x0

Oh BTD lovely to hear from you. Hope everything is good with you.....will look for your diary. We're still plodding on.
And so another month starts! Spends for September, £100 petrol (£30 in 'other car'), £310 on groceries which is much better. NSDs only 8.....plenty of room for improvement there.

Yesterday was a NSD.......good start to the month.:rotfl:
Then it all went downhill last night, me and OH had 'words'. Not sure what started if off, I was sorting all the paperwork out on the kitchen table, you know sorting through all old paperwork, filing statements etc, then I asked him about spends coming up this weekend and any suggestions for a present. He just seemed to get this attitude and that was it, all downhill.:(
I know he isn't interested in sorting money out (I've stopped asking him generally) but I wanted his opinion about how much we need this weekend. We are going to a family birthday party and need a present and money for drinks.
I don't know why he gets this attitude, it's almost like he needs to grow up a bit. It is so frustrating.:(
Anyway on a lighter note I've been so organised with the meal planning, Sunday had a chicken dinner and made a cottage pie which we had on Monday (it was great to just put in the oven and warm up) and last night had stir fry with left over chicken from sunday. It will be beans on toast tonight.:rotfl:
Need to get bread (or it will just be beans for tea!!) and also petrol tonight.

Sorry to hear that Alice, sounds like you are taking all the strain. Maybe try and speak to him one eve when you are both calm. I know that when the paperwork is out my OH tends to get stressed and he has never looked at budgetbrain for example, it just freaks him out.
Keep on plodding as the dear beanielou would say. We are here for you!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Thanks brizzle, things are calmer now......I just haven't mentioned anything, I'll make a decision on the presents etc. It is easier to keep things to myself but sometimes a little bit of support would be nice.:o
I called into sburys last night, I must of been there just at the right time as there was some great offers on the reduced counters, especially the bread (shame we haven't got a big freezer). Spent £37 in sburys, £10 petrol, got cash for childminder, lottery and leisure pot.
Still need to get a present for this weekends party and some cash for drinks. Also would like to get DS3 something to wear on his feet, he doesn't have anything really suitable. He only has school shoes, football trainers and boots, nothing suitable for a party.:(

The bulb has gone in the car front headlight.
Everybody at work talking about putting the heating on when they get in................I don't think so.

I know what you mean about some support Alice. My DHs eyes roll when I mention the finances
. He has figured out how to change the car light bulbs so that's not too bad. Can your DH have a go?
:j0 -
Hi Alice,
Hope your ok. Re the car bulb buy one from a small garage and get DH to fit it. Thats what we always do and its loads cheaper.
