I've had a horrible horrible dream and I'm also cold.

I woke up early this morning after having a seriously horrible and upsetting dream about my daughter (can't even bring myself to post what it was) and I couldn't get back to sleep as I was so upset and unsettled when I woke up. I even kinda carried the dream on once I was awake and imagined scenarios where I could save her. Very weird. Does anyone else do that or is it just me that needs help? :D

I gave up on sleep and came downstairs and after flicking thorugh the tv channels I'm now sat here on the pc like a wee frozen ice pop. It's so cold in here today. We have frost outside, looks lovely mind. :D

Can't put the heating on as OH was on night shift last night and it's so loud it will wake him.

Kids are still sleeping, can't really do anything as the noise will wake everyone.

Just wanted to share. :D

Aw its horrible when you have a dream like that. Have a nice cup of coffee and some nice toast and put something warm on! xx I agree people don't need to lie in at the weekend they're wasting their own time.

    Morning A

Its awful when you have a dream like that but you are not on your own. We all have these, its part of being a parent if you ask me.
What about googling ..... happy ..... images. I do this sometimes when I feel a bit down and it cheers me up. Or go on to utube and search for kittens and puppies doing daft things. I know it sound silly but it gives me a giggle.

Get a duvet, coffee and bite to eat and enjoy the peace and quiet before everyone gets up.

This is what I am doing as we are heading out to pray later and I am in my trusty fluffy night-gown on my fav seat here.

    Take care of your self
    God bless

Im up too this morning and it is indeed freezing! OH started early and hit snooze so knew if i didnt stay awake he'd more than likely sleep in. I've just had a roasty toasty shower and now going to snuggle up infront of the tv with warm weetabix and coffee.

Morning all, nice to see some friendly faces. :D Got the 2nd hot cuppa in myhand. I'm like one of those people in the adverts with red noses and steaming hot cups of some sort of soothing 'cold' drink. Iyswim. :D

Sorry you weren't dreaming about fluffy bunnies either Evansangel. Our brains are nasty pieces of work sometimes aren't they?! :(

I'm happier I've 'got it out' now. Things are always worse for me if they are left in my head. :D

Hi aliasojo, its horrible when we have nightmares and sometimes they are so real.Nightmares can often happen when we are worried about something and often the material in them is stuff we would never ever do in real life.
Pretty much the same as people who have awful thoughts about others, such as killing their child or infecting someone with a disease, these are things they would never ever do but the mind will play through these scenarios nonetheless.you will be surprised how many people have these thoughts!

I have dreamt that my 2yr old was ran over by a car in front of me or that my brother had died and i woke up in floods of tears.hth

Huge sympathies. A wee while back I dreamed of my granny, who had recently died, it was also too much to share but woke me in floods of tears and that dream still has the power to make me weepy even now! :(
Long term insomniac so am usually awake in the wee small hours. This week I've been wakening around three am every night. Like yourself, I sit in the quiet because I don't want to wake the OH or the daughter.
Will take it easy today, and watch something comforting. :) (though it's still too early for It's A Wonderful Life, but any more middle of the night rises and I'll watch it and be damned, lol)
