I've had a horrible horrible dream and I'm also cold.

Nightmares can often happen when we are worried about something and often the material in them is stuff we would never ever do in real life.
I suspect mine was the warped result of some thoughts I had before going to sleep about how I felt 'not in control' of something.
In my dream I had no control over the men who had my daughter.

I still get nostalgic about a dream I had 8 years ago... I had a best friend called Wayne, who was a chicken that occasionally turned into a Michael Jackson impersonator. Whenever I felt sad or low, Wayne would sing the chorus of "Loving you is easy 'cos you're beautiful" and make me feel better.
I was inconsolable when I woke up to find that Wayne didn't really exist and that I'd never see him again
And yes I do see how ridiculous that sounds but it really seemed so real at the time! :rotfl:

I actually laughed out loud reading that. I now feel sooo normal amongst other [STRIKE]weirdos[/STRIKE] like minded people.
I might try really hard to cultivate a 'Wayne' in my subconscious and bring him out in times of need. He could be 'Wayne the Superhero Chicken' and have a wee red cape. He could fly in to save the day and peck hell out of the baddies in my dreams. :rotfl:
*thinks I might just be putting too much thought into this......* :rotfl:
Actually, that kinda reminds me of 'Drop Dead Fred'. Anyone remember him?

I didn't think the name was particularly funny but his reaction was contagious.

I LOVE Drop Dead Fred!

I have it on DVD, makes me laugh every time!:rotfl:
I had nightmare night before last, woke up with a headache, feeling sick, and unable to shake off the dream. Not nice, it left me feeling out of sorts all day yesterday, but am fine today.

Me too. It was on offer at HMV one time and I couldn't possibly not buy it.
Funny how something like a dream can have such a lasting effect isn't it?Herman - MP for all!

i had nightmares as a child, like we all did.
But i learnt a trick in my nightmares.. i had a special power (ok your all giggling now)
when the monsters and evil things were chasing me, i could jump up flap my arms and fly up out the way.
yes sounds so silly now, but then DS used to get nightmares so i told him of my special trick, i've just said to him remeber when i told you as a small boy.. he's just looked at me as if i have just downed a bottle of morphine..
Anyhoo, apart from my son thinking i have gone completely bonkers..
The trick in my nightmares worked.. and was able to change the nightmare..

What can I say? :rotfl:
Be happy in your soft play.
Seriously though, it's a useful trick to be able to do that, although personally rather than being able to fly away, I'd much prefer my right arm to turn into a machine gun. (I'm more of a fight fire with fire kinda gal. :rotfl:)Herman - MP for all!
