jac :rotfl::rotfl:
i have joined the ' dont waste anything ' challenge and because of that i now have a huge veggie soup bubbling away in the SC which in all honesty the veggies probably would have been thrown out , there should be enough soup for 4 of us for 2 days
also made a chicken and leek filo pie for tea think ill do it with jacket spuds
washing is out on the line , its really cold outside but very sunny so hopefully it will dry0 -
Morning All
Beth, what a fantastic surprise, something you will remember for a long time, well done to OH!
JG - thought it was early for a remberance service!
Happy Anniversary Wuvvies, enjoy your day.
No washing on the line so far today, it is thick fog! I have taken the mattress from my bed and put it on cheapcycle and put the one that was under DDs bed on mine as it is newer. We ended up with a spare double bed, the frame is in the garage but going to a friends next week. It gives DD a lot of storage under her bed now (just somewhere to shove her rubbish!). I am exhausted now. Will go for a shower when I have finished the daily chores.
Nothing planned for today apart from knitting another hat, it's good knowing that I have no work today so can just chill out. Got loads of newspapers from work last night so shall enjoy having a laze and reading them later.
Take care and have a good Sunday. XX0 -
Hello all,
Thinking of you to-day Bramble.
Lou...hope that you feel better to-day.
Taplady....glad you feel better but please go to doctor.
Beth....what a lovely OH....mine would have to tell me, children organised surprise parties for me for both my 50th and 60th birthdays and they didn't tell him either as they knew he would let the cat out of the bag!
JackieG....what are you like, even I know when remembrance day is....
No fireworks here....think that they are still illegal except for organised displays.
Ham with cabbage and mash for dinner to-day and some cake for pudding....one of those Wright's mixes I got in Aldi, all the ginger ones gone, so added ginger and marmalade to a madeira one.....seems all right, will see how it tastes.
Lovely sunny day here, quite warm, although we had frost overnight. Have one lot of clothes on line and just waiting for my bedding to finish to put it out, will leave it overnight as love the freshness it gives when 'frosted'
Hugs to all, have a good day and stay safe

I know when Rememberance Day is, cheeky chops, both of my 'foreign' nieces' birthdays are on November 11th; I just dont do church. Thats my excuse anywayIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Happy Anniversary Wuvvies have a wonderful day.
Beth wow, your DH must be very good at bluffing if he managed to organise all that without you smelling a rat!:D Glad you enjoyed it! I must admit, if Mr LW pulled a stunt like that on me, I'd likely kill him, slowly and painfully, but then, I simply don't do social occasions.:D
Jackieg what are you like?? Mind you, that's why I have a PDA - I'd never be anywhere at the correct time without it!:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Well we went to a Remembrance Service at Usher Hall last night so I don't blame you JG getting days confused as to when services are:D. And....is there really such a thing as too much pizza?? Hope your appetite comes back soon, not nice.
Wuvvies - Happy Anniversary!
(((hugs))) to those amongst us who are suffering at the moment. Thinking of you. I have a candle lit, positive thoughts to you and sending rays of sunshine that are streaming in the window as I type. I love autumn.
Tea is chicken and veg. Cooked it yesterday so nice and easy to heat some for tonight's tea and then some more for tomorrow. My meals don't seem to have much variety at the mo but I'm not fed up with them.
Off to put feet up and do some reading. It's the law on a Sunday afternoon:D.
