  • Not as much as me, I made the boys get up and dressed too, Ds1 in a shirt and trousers, and Ds2 in his Cubs uniform, their faces were a picture!:rotfl:

Bitsy...you have made the right decision, you will soon adjust to less money;). DS is scared and wary of my dad and my brother and always has...as he has got older he has said it is because they both have very loud deep voices! Maybe your dad has said or done something that DS has misinterpreted? It is a difficult one:o

Tappers...great that you have a weekend to look forward to...but it won`t change the total situation:cool:...get thee to the docs;), just for a chat to see what they think, it could even be hormonal , you never know.

Waiting for DS to come back. Having sausage casserole, mash and veg today..I think DS needs me to spend some time with him this afternoon rather than be in the kitchen cooking a roast.

Just debating whether or not I can be bothered to do a ginger cake before he gets back:cool:
Cold here today...hens survived fireworks...one had done an egg when we let them out at 6 30...prob through fear!

    Morning all,

Hope everyone had a safe & happy Bonfire night. We have a grandstand view from the top of our drive-the local cricket club is across the road and they have a big firework display & bonfire. It seems to get busier and busier each year. Our friends came over and we had a takeaway after.DSons also had their mates over to watch boxing,so they watched the fireworks with a can of beer each too. They also had some of the curry so pretty good value
Candy- we are near Bolton and we call them black peas.I think you can buy them from pet shops where theyare known as pigeon peas(round here anyway :D)My mum always made them for Bonfire night, yum.
Beth- sorry didnt read yesterday so didnt know it was your birthday so belated wishes-sounds like your DH planned the perfect day, lovely man.

Hugs to those feeling down, esp NPM,Taplady,Lou,Bramble and anyone I've missed.

Off to footie later-DH bought a pie at the farmers market yesterday so that'll be quick when we get home later.Sadly not a lot of OS going on,though I have made a good start on making my C cards.
Hope its agood Sunday for you all xx

  • Morning all

Grey and wet here, so washing being dried inside. Been to early class at the gym just had breakfast and off for a shower in a mo. Taking DS swimming later.

Beth what a lovely suprise glad you had a good time.

Bramble how are you doing? Hugs to you and yours

Tappers go and see your GP, depression is a terrible thing and meds can really help.

Hugs to anyone else who needs one.

No fireworks for us last night, it was tipping down. Got work for the next 3 nights so DS is going to his Dad's. Tea tonight is leftover chicken and probably pasta salad.

    Have a good day all.

  • Bore Da,

It's a lovely morning here so WM chugging away and hope to get it on the line later.

JG - that made me smile too:rotfl:

Am still in pj's though so better get a wiggle on, get dressed and get ironing and hoovering! DH has been threatening to finish decorating the dining room for weeks, my ironing stash is in there so better get it moved and actually ironing it seems the best option ;)

Roast chicken dinner with veg followed by apple and blackberry crumble and custard tonight.

Hope all have a good day and the sunshine is enjoyed by all.

Anyhow a quiet day but hopefully potter later and baking will have to wait x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    morning all,
my wedding anniversary today 7 years so my hubbie is going to take me out for a sunday lunch. lovely. so.. should take the oppourtunity of no cooking to catch up on all that ironing. my head is banging as usual and cant be bothered but it does give me so much staisfaction to see everything clean and tidy. have not done any dailies for 4 days so the house is looking pretty tatty as apposed to its usual shiny.
was amazed that you all wrote about the car crash on here so as i had not seen any news i had a look on sky news. it was the most awful thing i had seen. apparantly there was a bad one 20 years ago but im 39 and seriously not seen anything like it. my heart goes out to everyone. terrible. sorry im a few days late in saying but its awful.
well. today thanking my lucky stars for all i have. three lovely children a lovely husband. never enough money but were all in the same boat. money isnt eveything.
happy sunday everyone .... off to scale my mountain of ironing. xx
