Just a thought it may be worth trying your local council as they have a department that helps with forms etc, have you reapplied for DLA. Thinking of the care, - even low care is £17 pw, that boils down to 1 hr needed a day,
    - cooking - are you safe lifting pans across, can you bend down to open oven, x

I've never applied for DLA ..I should but the forms and the thought of getting rejected scare me.I do need quite a lot of help with bathing and dressing and certainly can't cook a meal,I can't do the cleaning or shopping either but that would be admitting I'm disabled and don't want to.I'm hoping that one day I'll be better and can do all these things for myself and that losing weight will help with my osteo artritis.

On that note I'm going back to WWs on wednesday as I've put loads of weight on stuffing my face thinking I was going to die anyway.
I'll go for 2 wednesdays and then depending on times of radiotherapy will either go weds or saturdays...I know I won't have radiotherapy on saturdays so can definitely go then

even if you apply for DLA don't look as thou ur admitting your disabled, think of it as extra help and the money to help get the things you need. Your Mac nurse would help as they know what words to say.

Thats brill about weight watchers, youve done brilliantly and your soon be back in thw swing of things, hope everyone ok. xx

That's awful, what happened? Do you not get a courtesy car from your insurers?

  • Taxi - I normally just read to see how you are doing but felt I needed to post today as you may not be aware that you can claim for loss of earnings from their insurance - I used to do this as a job many moons ago. They will work out your earnings from you accounts, work out an average daily/weekly rate and then a settlement. I know it doesn't help in the short term but you should get it back eventually. x
