Urg am not too worried about the bone scan as he doesn't suspect cancer in my bones.I've had osteo arthritis for years but without too much trouble but when diagnosed with cancer I had loads of pains in my bones so they did a bone scan to see what was causing the pain..it turned out I had a lot of osteo arthritis in many areas even in areas that I didn't feel any pain.My pain has increased a lot since chemo and even losing 5st hasn't helped it..so he thinks it's a good thing to redo the bone scan so that he can compare both and take it from there..unfortunately I can't have anti immflammatories due to anaphylactic shock.I would like some pain relief that works without doping me so that I can manage to go and get a job and live a more active life.Am on codeine based ones at the moment but they only take the edge off.I really don't like the morphine which is what pain management want me on.
The course..yes I'm still enjoying it but not getting much done at the moment with one thing and another but think I'm ok to crack on from thursday onwards with no interuptions.0 -

I'm going for my bone scan on monday and knew that I wouldn't be able to lie on the scan bed so gave in and went to DRs yesterday.he's put me on Tramadol 200 mg slow release twice a day and oramorph 10/5ml four times a day.I've been taking the Tramadol and it seems to work but makes me quite drowsy but haven't took the oramorph yet as scared to take it.
Am surprised at how quick my scan came through as was expecting it to be about a month. It's been great not having lots of pain today.0 -
