Am back home again. We came home two days early as we were both so exhausted and had walked so much that we were both in agony so it wouldn't have been enjoyable to stay the extra couple of days.We had a great time though and were very MSE and used the tickets for the musuems that my SIL and I bought in Sept so that enabled us to go in free as they are valid for a year,we went in the Art Gallery as that's free,we had a free chilli con carne meal in Yates with vouchers from here and we had our other meals at reasonable priced places too.
When we got back yesterday I fell asleep until 11.30pm last night.Have had a couple of lots of painkillers as well and thankfully my back is feeling a lot better today.I need to get some bits of shopping today and finish the washing off but most of the day will be spent chilling out and resting.
Paid the tax bills and accountant just before we went away so that has depleted my savings so need to start saving again. We also need to get the food shopping down to less than it is now whilst still retaining healthy filling meals so will work on that one.My contract with Gas/electric runs out next month so need to look at that too and see what deals are about.Think all that coupled with normal household activities will give me plenty to do until monday.
Then on monday will do the banking as DH is going back to work tonight and then I'll start on my spread sheet modules.

Glad you had a good time. Make sure you do the bare minimum today and get some rest. I know I always feel in need of another holiday when I get back.

Oh my word! I sometimes do that a little bit, when I walk on holiday so much more than normal, but that sounds agonising! Your light is out now, hopefully you're catching up on sleep again :)

Sounds like a fab holiday, so sorry that your back etc was playing up, and you had to come back early, really sounds like you crammed a lot into a short break.

You get some rest this weekend, bet it all the family coming round as they've missed you. Please promise that your take things easy.

Glad the accountant and tax man sorted , hopefully the tax man feel nice and give you a refund somewhere along the line.

Is there any news yet on a 2nd driver yet?? xx

Sounds like the sleep was just what you needed. You certainly packed a lot into the break, no wonder you were jiggered :)

Changed my gas/electric yesterday and did my shopping.
Went to WWs this morning and had put 1.5 lbs on.
The tax man was not kind to me at all ..even taxed me £400 on my ESA benefit...along with another £600 each for me and DH..no news on 2nd driver yet but not actively looking.
Am going to take it easy the rest of the day and read a magazine and then have a long soak in the bath.
