I've not been posting as nothing going on here0 -
Taxi, if the weather's at all good, get out of the house for a little bit, even if its to sit somewhere rather than walk somewhere, I know it sounds pootling, but it does help to lift your mood.

Have been proactive this morning.
Hadn't heard from my MH worker since 11th June when she last visited and had forgotten her diary and said she'd phone me to give me an appointment...so rang her this morning and she apologised..result appt next weds at 10am.
Still am in loads of pain with my hip and still can barely walk or get up the stairs.I cannot stand/sit either without severe pain.
I've used heat therapy/cold therapy, paracetamol,co codamol 8/500,co codamal 30/500 and nothing is helping.I cannot use NSAIDs as have anaphylactic shock from Naproxen...I've just phoned DR but no appointments until 15th july so practitioner phoned me back she has done me prescription for Tramadol and put me in with DR for next monday but if it's still unbearable before then will need to ring again for her to sort me out...she said I may need to get it x rayed/scanned...me they can do what they want as long as I get rid of this pain.
DH has also dug my old trainers out of the shed as he thinks these may help as they have my special insteps in as I have one leg slightly shorter than the other..think it may be worth asking for a referral back to podiatrist as well.
On a brighter note it's our wedding anniversary today and DH has offered to take me for lunch so think that'll be a nice change.0 -
Sorry to hear you are still in so much pain.

Had a lovely lunch with DH and am absolutely stuffed now.DH having afternoon nap before going to work at 5pm...
Window cleaner has just been and done the windows and have asked him if he can clean my gutters as when it rains it just pours out but I can see vegetation there so hopefully that's all it is...he hasn't time to do it today so will call back..will be great if that's the reason if not I'll have to get someone out to look0 -
Happy Anniversary, taxi:beer:. Sounds as if a nice lunch with DH was just what you needed to lift your spirits a bit.
My DH is in Blackpool this week. He won a 5-day coach holiday in a draw at a holiday exhibition here and it's been impossible to find a date when we could go together (the dates/venues were from a limited range!) so he has gone on his own and they have given him a voucher against another holiday booked with the same company next year to make up the difference. I dropped him off at the coach pick-up point at 7.20 this morning:j. He's staying at the Norbreck Castle Hydro (I think that's the name of it) and there is an excursion to the Lake District one day. The weather forecast for your area doesn't look too brilliant this week though.
To be honest I'm really pleased to have the house to myself this week as I'm a crazy Wimbledon fan and can't watch it 24/7 when he's here as he moans about meals being late etc. Needless to say he can't cook a thing himself. Well, he can just about manage toast and a cup-a-soup:rotfl: so I do all the cooking and he likes a proper home-cooked dinner every evening. I've spoiled him in that respect, I should have taught him to cook but he's of the 'old school' where the women in the family do the cooking! That's in spite of me always working full-time as well until recently. How I envy you when you mention the yummy meals that your lovely hubby makes for you.
I hope you'll get some relief from your back-pain soon, taxi, it sounds awful. Good thinking to try the trainers with the inserts though.
Big hugs etc.
Now, back to the telly and the tennis0 -
Hi Taxi - hope you are feeling better soon. Happy anniversary and glad to hear you had such a lovely lunch.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

It does sound like the pain in your hip could be caused by the lack of built-up insole doesn't it - presumably you ought to be able to get additional insoles on the NHS for that sort of thing? Hopefully the pain is a bit more under control now.

Hi,
I'm glad you had such a nice anniversary. Hopefully the tramadol will help with the pain...it's such a downer.
