Thank you everyone for all your lovely messages.
Went for my scan and will try not to think about it now until I see my onc on 15th july.
My main worry at the moment is the pain in my hip which isn't improving at all.Today I had to hold on to the wall to walk at the hospital.I've now resorted to pain killers and if they don't work will have to go see dr..the pain is ridiculous.
Taxed both cars today so bit of an expensive day and also managed to sort some paperwork out.
Just want some normal life back and was doing quite good a couple of months back but seems to have gone downhill since with pain and tiredness

has the dr given you any indication of what the hip pain could be? is it not common also after chemo to have sore bones? a friend of mine had the same cancer and she suffers bone pain often, incidently she still feels shattered a lot of the time and she has had the all clear for a few years now, she says she just feels exhausted ( i asked her the other day how she was and she must've felt she could talk to me as we were still chatting an hour later and i learned an awful lot )

hugs taxi ... big smushy hugs ( but not sore ones :) )

I'm really sorry to hear you;re in so much pain at the moment Taxi and that it's preventing you moving forwards - quite literally!

I hope the medics can do something about it for you - pain can be very exhausting and this may be contributing to the tiredness?

    More gentle hugs

    Hi Taxi,

Sucks to the bone pain...did they CT down to your hips and beyond?

I've been referred (well I will be when I hand the form in) for counselling. They've been really good, GP is sending me to General Counsellor and Macmillan's are going to try and get me in with the Oncology Psychologist. Amazing what happens when you cry all over peeps :o

they didn't CT my hips...they did comment on how bad I was walking though...every step is so painful.
I have bad osteo arthritis and have had for years but cannot have NSAIs due to getting anaphylactic shock from them and those are what I really need for it to take the immflamation away..this is the absolute worst it's been for years and started when I took JJ away and hasn't got any better since

Don't they have anything other than NSAIDs to help combat the pain and inflammation?

Herbal anti-inflammatories *might* help, Taxi -

The top ones seem to be turmeric and ginger, but I hope the pain's cleared up a bit today. I can still take NSAIDS, and I do, but I'm definitely going to investigate the herbal path.
