    Lousy news on the car but on the bright side you at least have someone you can trust and who'll see you right.

    Blimey, £2k! Well, as you say, a trusted place. I still don't have a car of any description :( but I guess my equivalent (familiar to everyone else too, of course) is a builder. Or a double glazing company. Or a heating engineer.

    :eek::eek::eek: to all of them!

    Yep, the double glazing peeps were good, but the heating engineers still have a problem with my boiler :rotfl:

    Ouch. How do you feel about that, Taxi, are you okay with being signed off? Are they sure you won't need the chemo?

    You posted at 2 in the morning! I'm very glad to hear there wasn't anything going on :rotfl: I know what you mean tho :) I went out last night to a Town Society meeting, it had a little lecture on local history, and though I did eventually go in the door, I couldn't face staying.

    As long as you're getting the support you need and want when you need and want it.

    Good thing is (and I used the term advisedly) you now know what's available and that you can ask for additional support and referrals if / when you even need that help again. I've definately found having the knowledge, even if never required, is a huge mental support and comfort.

    Not feeling very good today...if I stand up I feel dizzy,feeling strange as if my hearts beating faster or feeling like I'm anxious.
    Garage phoned this morning to say we needed new timing belt so agreed to have it done as the parts of the engine that needed moving to fit it were already out making the bill cheaper than if it went anyway which would only be a month or so anyway...this I was told would add approx £200 to the bill.
    Hubby has just been to pick up the car and the bill was just short of £2k which was £300 better than expected as they give us a large discount.

    Phew. A lot but could have been worse. Kind of them to give you a discount but I guess that you give them a lot of work!

    Would've been over £2300..he also told us to apply for the 25% discount card that comes with a £40 voucher off servicing or anything like that and half price MOT etc...so I've ordered one for each car
