Last night I got a phone call to say my son had wrote off his car. Black ice, not driving dangerously... and I thought bloody hell how much is this going to cost.... Then my son told me the policemen at the scene.. said that looking at the car, he was very lucky that he was able to just walk away... and I felt sick...
Bl**dy hell!!! Thank crikey he was safe.

Hi all, been thinking a lot about all of you that are having such a hard time just now, can't really add much except to say you are all in my thoughts xxx0

Sending warmest wishes to taxi and all who are suffering at the moment. What a kind, caring and supportive group of wonderful people you all are who come and post on taxi's diary.:A
Bast. Sorry to hear about your Mum and then on top of that the worry you must be having about your son. Thank goodness it's just the car that is damaged. Big hugs to you and him.
I hope you are all managing to keep warm and safe. Really cold here with very snowy and icy conditions. Not intending to drive my car (more like an igloo at the moment, I can barely see any metal at all below the ice and snow on it:eek:) anywhere today.0 -
have seen psycholgist today and he has said to try and do some nice things over the next couple of weeks whilst waiting for scan results....he listened to all my ramblings, concerns and thinks I have post traumatic stress..he posted stuff to mental health team saying he'd like action within 72 hours so he's chasing that up..
Am seriously hoping that the scan shows that the cancer has gone with the 9 treatments I had and that I've got a good while to get my head sorted before having to even consider chemo again.
I've just got to try to clear my head for the next few weeks and try and do nice things whilst waiting for results
Forgot to add am waiting for DRs to phone me as seem to have developed fungal infection under boobs or similar but will need treating as I suffer from lymphodema and have had cellulitis before so we don't need that getting any worse...nurse looked at it at the hospice today and went away to phone my GP but they have a funny system now where you phone up,then they phone you back and tell you whether you need to see the dr....sigh0 -
The healthcare system in your area seems to be very patchy.
Your GP's do indeed have a very funny system.
You would think another healthcare professional would be able to bypass that~ head, wall, bang, springs to mind.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Thank you guys... as you say we will be okay and tis only money... worked myself into one hell of a frenzy ...:)
Taxi my mam has just gone through the fungal thing you describe it was really bad and we had to go through a lot of creams and tests to sort it.... It is now gone... but stress apparently was not good for it... so....
I think the post traumatic stress disorder is a pretty good description to the hell you are going through.... Maybe now someone hopefully will get their !!!! into gear and sort this out...................as usual thinking of you....:o0
