First of all, a belated 'Happy New Year' to you, Taxi and your lovely family, and to everyone on your thread who supports you with such loving and caring postings. May you all have everything you wish for in 2013.
Taxi, what a star your hubby is, I'm green with envy! The wellies sound lovely and here's to you having lots of fun wearing them especially when out with JJ. Although I know they'll be a joy to wear I hope the need to wear them out of necessity flood-wise will be few and far between this year. Strictly just for fun, you deserve it if anyone does.
Thanks for your good wishes before Christmas re: my brother's bladder cancer. Glad to say the removal was relatively simple (so far as we know) and because it was all done internally (via his 'private parts'...ouch:eek:) there was no wound or stitches so he was allowed home 2 days later once the catheter had been removed and he could pass urine normally. The same afternoon he had the cancer removed they flooded the bladder with the chemo substance. It is a 'one-off' blast, not like the regular doses you have to endure,Taxi, so is all over and done with at one go. Apparently that method/substance doesn't result in hair-loss! He has to return in 2 weeks time now for the results of the biopsy etc and to see if it has spread or is invasive, and after that needs to go for further tests etc every 3 months forever, although they said if it is clear it will eventually go to every 6 months. Can't tell you how relieved I am (so far).
I so wish you could get some really wonderful news soon yourself ,Taxi. You are in my thoughts so much just because of the person you are (who I don't even know and never will) but who is always an inspiration and someone to be 'looked up to' in the way you cope with life's 'knocks'.
God Bless you and your lovely family:A0 -

carbootcrazy - that sounds like its all gone really well for your brother, positive vibes to him too.
And for you, Taxi, lots of healing vibes for 2013, and splashing in puddles for fun not flood! And an all-clear signal at the very first opportunity would be best of all.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
