It's raining.
Surprising news yesterday. Mr T had a small bonus which is part of a new payment structure. Very welcome and front porch pot is now at 25%.
I'm making mocha coffee ice cream shortly. Mr T bought reduced cream and I'm struggling to use it all up. Loving the freezer with :happyhear
Meal planning for September was finished a while ago but needs printing. No clue what's on it now
Lodger is away for two weeks - he is an absolute joy. Immaculate bedroom - he must have OCD tendencies resulting in him being perfect lodger material.
Bargainous smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast.
Right I'd better crack on.

Sorry about the rain, Tilly, but the rest sounds good - mocha ice cream sounds divine, in fact2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Evening, the lawn is happy with all the rain
Tilly family went to the cinema during the afternoon. War Dogs - surprisingly good film. More importantly we didn't pre book tickets but used vouchers redeemed from S&S or CP, meaning we had to go to a counter manned by people - what a result - 4 X 24£12 tickets were given to us. Even with student and teen discount we can never get to that price so well chuffed.
Junior Tilly brigade have been offering their services this weekend and so far both of them are £20 up. DDs comments "that's two weeks food shopping"; DSs comments "will put away towards my 18th celebrations" - what does he intend doing I wonder......

Ay up Tills. I was thinking of you yesterday
Have you picked up the latest In-Store Magazine from mrL? - The 'autumn' edition?
I picked up a copy - never have before, but they are having a baby promo, so I thought I would have a gander. Anyway, as I was flicking through, I was quite surprised how many recipes were in the mag, and kept thinking to myself, ooh Tilly (or muddy) would make Slow cooked curried lamb with red lentils and fluffy rice or Autumn Salad with roasted sea bass or Spiced Roasted vegetables with cous cous and chermoula. And I just know that either of you would rustle up a jug of Autumn Orchard Sangria for your pal gallyThere were some soup recipes and a risotto recipe too - don't know if missTilly would find anything of interest to include in her student recipe index (because she'd be able to accomplish any of those recipes, I know - but sometimes we all need a bit of inspiration
).
There are also some MOV in the back cover - 40% off; chilled soups, lean diced beef steak, face cream (not implying you need it, just reporting facts!) and chef select family pies. Vouchers valid until 25/09/2016.
HTH the Tilly clan, or anyone else who wanders through this magnificent diary

I'm not encouraging you to spend 59p - but if you were minded......
