Morning all, maybe I should rename my diary 'weather update' - it has rained pretty solidly for 24 hours and yes, I know we need it, but does it have to be feast or famine?

You'd best not look at THIS then :eek::eek::eek:

Edit: original post shows mortgage at £312k - so in fact since 5 November 2011 a reduction of £35k achieved. Will have to check a previous post but from memory, 2004 to November 2011 we only cleared circa £70-£80k - 7 years!!!!! What were we doing with our money - it makes me so annoyed and actually quite ashamed of our ridiculous and frankly childish attitudes to money. Thank goodness we woke up before it was too late.

    Thank you Mr Lewis.

No point beating yourself up over things you can't change - the importnat thing is you are doing it now. I agree though - a big :kisses3: to the main man :).

You have to concentrate on all the future OP's and be thankful that you only wasted x number of years not 25

Huge :j to the OP's since November, do you want to send some money this way :p

  • What a day. I cannot believe how much rain has fallen today - what water shortage?

No monies spent again today so far and tonight's is from entertainment budget.

I will be going shopping tomorrow night and I have learnt a lot from this exercise. Whilst being a reasonably imaginative cook, I still have a tendency to buy too many core ingredients. This has taught me (I don't mean I have learnt yet, just woken up) that I can I can definitely cut my shopping down. Good news.

Have a good night and it's Friday tomorrow - yay

Hi LadyG, what a lovely post and thank you so much for your kind words. I use my diary on a number of levels but all basically intended to keep me focussed and on track.

Good luck with your move. FD do a reward programme where you can recommend clients and both the new client and the introducer are rewarded financially - you may be able to recommend someone and you both get £.

    Best wishes Tilly x

Thanks Tilly, I will become the new "advocate" for FD and see what business I can drum up:T All goes towards the overpayments!

  • Morning, money has dropped into all the savings jars. I feel that we are now under control again, following the bank and mortgage switch to FD.

No rain, as yet, so the dog walk/run will be a little more pleasant today.

Had a good night out yesterday and it wasn't too late. Spent a little time catching up on diaries as well. I find it really interesting to see how people approach both DFW and MFW as there's always something to learn. I do struggle with coupon/offer use as I dont think I make the most of the combining.

I had a SSM box of goodies arrive which was a great treat - a number OS full size samples and a handful of smaller ones. Excellent.

    Have a good day.

The sky is a funny colour here. Googled it and I think it's blue. Waiting on washing to finish so I can hang it out. Oh how the God's are laughing at that one :D.

  • Walking at 7ish this morning and the sky was blue, glorious sunshine. Get home, pop the washing in, hang it on the line later, still glorious sun. Get on a con call, where I am presenting and, therefore, can't rush outside, and the heavens opened:eek:

Fortunately Mr Tiily came to the rescue and brought it in.

  • I truly cannot be bothered to go this evening. I seem to be having a day of frustration and driving to the supermarket is being removed from the agenda. Instead I am opening a bottle of wine, having a glass and then going on a 3 mile walk with the dogs. I need to clear my head, have some fresh air, and as it has rained for 3/4 of the day I think the dogs would appreciate it as well.

On a girlie note, my hands are so dry at the moment - I am going to give myself a manicure later on tonight :)

Have a good weekend, Tilly x

Enjoy your walk, I love that feeling of a brisk walk in fresh air to clear the head - hope it works.
