You could write a book Tilly based on your journey, renovations and eventual move to the sun.

  • IT'S POURING

My washing won't dry on the line today - fire lit instead :rotfl::rotfl:

BNS soup made, two sticks rubbed together to start a fire :rotfl: ok, I used matches instead.

  • Having seen your many posts on Secret Saving Squirrel's site I had a 'quick' look at your 'journey' to mortgage freedom. I say quick, but have spent an hour browsing to get from day one in 2011 up until the present time - and skipped a fair few pages except for the last year's.

What an achievement. I have noticed a coincidence of character and resilience in the Mortgage Free Wannabe posters. Also, generally, partners seem to be on board with the paying-off project as I suppose it wouldn't work otherwise. There is a wealth of really good financial advice from others and endless support and encouragement from the online viewers and posters.

I thought your posts about the poor dog which was run over were very vivid and the mouse episode likewise (though somewhat more lighthearted).

Good luck with the house project which sounds like very hard work. My DH isn't a natural handyman!
  • The plans sound absolutely fantastic Tilly!

Be you can't wait to get cracking!

  • Morning, more men coming this morning. Gas man and electricians. I need to go and open the gate as I have no clue what time they'll start to pitch up.

My Fitbit has been replaced and I need to get back into the habit of wearing it.

The well is extremely full at the moment. It is about two feet from the top  Do I need to worry that it may overflow? The forecast is not great until Sunday when it should dry up. At least it means there will be sufficient water for the summer. I always worry and we will go onto mains water when the house is renovated. However right now, our water is free. We need to figure out how we can 'turn on' the mains water, only when the well is very low. I'll leave that to the professionals.

Mr T sent me photographs overnight of Jupiter and four moons. He apparently set the camera up and was having a photo shoot at 1am :rotfl:

Right, I had better get ready as the gate won't open itself - it will post renovations :T

Hope all the works go well, Tilly.

Your OH saw the convergence! Excellent :) I'd given up, but there's still another week to go before they fall noticeably out of alignment :)
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Mr T also sent a great tracking pic of the ISS crossing over in the UK.

Karmacat, I'll mail both to you when I'm home. I can't access my mail from my phone at the moment.

Anyway, I'd better get cracking, I'm off out to a jam session. I'm really hoping it's the music variety :rotfl:
