Hi, this was the opening piece Tableau for orchestra by Helmut Lachenmann.
    That's the one.
    the layering and blends.
I don't claim to understand music, I just like the noise it makes. ;)
I'll check for this in iplayer - thanks

Sorry to hear you haven't entirely recovered yet.

From reading your diary, you've always seemed like a person with a lot of energy and who gets things done - it must be very frustrating for you at the moment.

Don't feel bad about being off work - if you rushed back, you'd only have a relapse, and be off for months.

  • Hi Goldie, I normally work at a fast speed, and always had tons of energy to do stuff. This bug has left me struggling to get out of bed

However, I'm doing my utmost to get back to normal, although normal may look slightly different to before.

I can't believe you've been retired for two months, I remember counting down to your leaving day and that only seems like the other day :eek:

  • Afternoon, glorious sunny day again. Definitely does the soul good
    :)

1p Tilly Tidy - I know, but there's not a lot left until payday, it's all squirrelled away.

Dinner this evening is fridge surprise :T. Who knows but I'd better get cracking.

I'm off to specs@vers tomorrow with DS as he needs new glasses. It's 241 at the moment so will see what's about.

The ironing pile is still looking at me, and I swear it grows daily. I have promised myself that it will be done before Mr T comes home tomorrow night :o

I've spent some time today talking about managing finances and it was great to be able to help someone take control.

    Best crack on.

    Thank you Tilly xxx
  • Seems to be lots of illness around Tilly, one of DH's school friends is having a lung removed due to double pneumonia, which I thought had gone out with the Victorians. You take your time and don't go rushing back xx

  • Hi, I definitely won't be able to rush back. Am seeing Dr again today as my breathing is definitely not under control. The saddest part is mum hasn't been able to come and stay. For the last couple of years she's been with us during the winter months. Fortunately I did a big batch cook for her and she is slowly ploughing through them :T. Saves much effort for her.

No Tilly Tidies anywhere  Probably good as it means no movement in the bank account.

Plans for today - sort out a small pile of stuff for eb@y. Work through bookcase and see what can go to Portugal or be sold, one way or the other.

Ideally, we want to reduce DVD and CD collection more. We never buy these nowadays and we have had a couple of music magpie events, I think we could probably do another. It's also coming up to phone switch time. Much research is being done by DS for his sister and Dad -good lad :). Old phones will definitely be sold and any £ OPd.

Ironing pile is still looking at me :(. For someone who enjoys ironing and finds it relaxing, it's odd that I don't have the energy to get stuck in.

Best wishes to all, Tilly x

    Hope doc proves helpful.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
