lol Katsu, it should definately have said fire HOSE, funny how a little typo can change the whole thing :rotfl:
I'll go back in a sec and change my post so as not to puzzle others

I have to declare total failure, after weeks without drinking, apart from the odd celebration, I have to declare meltdown. Having consumed 4 glasses of wine, I collapse under the weight of the week.
Yep ATT, my payrise was surprising, it was significant but in light of last five weeks stress, not enough - life wil start to balance out again in 4 weeks time:)
Fire house sounded right to me, a fire hose would be insufficient for the stuff going on, :rotfl:
I wish everyone a fab weekend, bearing in mind i am typing after four glasses of wine - I am putting my feetl up, no ironing  and relaxing with steak and salad.
Best wishes to all who follow xxxx Tily x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Morning, my head is feeling slightly sore today

DH has suggested I have a lie in, catch up on some sleep and then we are off on a bike ride early afternoon. I had better stop reading people's diaries so I can drop off - lovey husband:rotfl:
Plans for the weekend are to apply for the passports, or at least get the paperwork together, do my filing at home, sort the freezer and recheck menu plan but probably will replan through to end April so it's out of the way.
Tomorrow will be volunteering and then being pampered - I must remind DH to read my diary, don't want him forgetting.......
DH has put some washing on, so with the weather today that is going to be TD. Will fit some ironing in but unlikely to be today.
One thing I do want to achieve today is some boxing stuff with DH. I thought it would be a good stress buster.:j
Hope everyone is in fine spirits as we move increasingly closer to bank holiday times.

Happy Mothering Sunday - great day in the Tilly household and we made the most of the early sun for a bike ride

DH and I have just sat going over our finances and it looks like we are on track for 4/8/16. It's going to be a fun journey as we have some good holidays to fit in with the kids before they leave home, but it is achievable.
Glad we eventually woke up last year otherwise we wouldn't be in this position now.
So at the start of another week, it's good to keep the eye on the end game.

Morning, have woken up with a 'gird your loins' feeling. Whilst we appreciate it's not the easiest journey ahead, the benefit we will gain is significant. It would be far simpler to pay the normal payment per month but we lose the flexibility to live a different life. There is a lot to be said for enjoying the journey, but I don't want to go back to enjoying the life too much and not focussing on safeguarding our future. Not sure that will make sense but it was the outcome of our serious discussion last night.
Target no. 1, amount owed to the world £275k
Target no. 2, amount owed to the world £250k
You will get the idea of targets - DH wanted less and I needed more frequent ones:eek:
GG, you will see I caved in on the waiting months to update, it was too disheartening :rotfl:
Thank goodness for this forum where people understand our mad desires to be MF.
Last week I overheard someone discussing their mortgage and saying they were on interest only. They like to buy smart cars each year etc and the message was, after the kids leave home we will sell, downsize and have a lower mortgage. I still can't get my head around this, the person earns what DH and I do together and still they are on interest only  anyway when we are sitting MF in 53 months from now I will be extremely thankful to MSE
Have a great week all - btw, all paperwork, filing, receipt checking complete over the weekend. Menu revamped to end of April and fab bargainous YS shopping in Tesc@ including fillet steak!

There is another planet out there and I am so glad we're not on it :eek:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

What a glorious day it has been - everything always seems more in perspective when the sun is shining.
Things trundling along well and work is improving.

What a day, work really is up and down at the moment and am hoping it calms down over the next few weeks.
On the weight loss front, I have lost 22lbs now so I need to make sure this slows down now. We are doing a lot of running and really getting in to it and also it is helping balance the stress of work.
Moneywise, things are looking good with the surveys, shop and scan, grabbit, free movies etc so that's keeping both me and Mr Tilly busy.
My salary rise was back dated to 1st March which was a surprise as I thought it would be from 1 April so another piece of good news.
Finally, I set up the internal transfers last week so when I get paid the savings pots will be topped up. That in itself is a big relief as I couldn't get it done until the mortgage was switched and then I had actually been paid, and therefore had money to switch:). All done and dusted so looking good.
I will be resorting the freezer tomorrow evening - I have bought some Ys goodies recently and need to make sure I remember what they are. If you aren't careful freezers become storage units and I like to make sure I am making best use of what's in it. Menu plan is looking good for April including a couple of meals with friends. My budget for shopping on Friday for next week is £30 so a little careful shopping is required.
I am so looking forward to the clocks changing over the weekend. The air smells so glorious right now and knowing that we will have longer in the garden is a pleasure. Salad stuff growing extremely well and potatoes coming along. Seeds are now about 4-5" tall in the conservatory again looking good. Spring is such a time for optimism, recognising the joy which can be taken from the smallest thing - my tomatoes and basil growing for example - I love this time of year and as I get older, certainly realise how the seasons change our behaviours etc. The change in the air as we move through the seasons is something I am particularly fond of and listening to the birds early in the morning always makes me wake with a smile.
Sorry I seem to rather verbose this evening - off to bed as its an early start in the morning.
