Thirded ....but...started very late in office and off to pub at lunch time to pay outstanding bill :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • If one more person wished me Happy New Year at work today I swear I'd have shouted right across the open plan office "I've worked right through Christmas and New Year, there's nothing Happy about it"!

Of course I had the upper hand with only today's emails to deal with, no back-log of to-do items and everyone else too busy to interrupt me!
    MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.
  • Morning, yesterday was quite a shock. I average around 130 incoming mails per day and I went back to only 250 ish for the whole Christmas period. Wonderful.

I finished work on time and whizzed home in time to make dinner - but was beaten by my DD.

    NSD achieved yesterday :)

Energy provider has been switched to C@@p - I'm never sure whether you benefit but it appears to work out cheaper. TCB is showing the cashback will need to check it doesn't disappear.

In the office again today - it seems pretty dismal and I'm keeping myself to myself as I don't want to catch the dismal lurgy :o

    Best wishes Tilly

Need to set time aside on Saturday to update my list of things I/we want to achieve in 2015.

Yes, well, you only answered 249 ish :rotfl:.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Bum, I saw your mail and got sidetracked with big boy pant stuff :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Don't worry, anyone reading this who doesn't *know me*, I don't have a weird occupation, just deal with some weird people :)

In the spirit of decluttering, 4 pairs of DS old shoes/trainers dropped into shoe bank. Still plenty of wear on them, he's just growing like a weed.

Sunrise is positively glorious this morning :)

Mr T left at the crack of dawn, I had a mega early call and in keeping with doing my utmost to control my hours, I'm taking an hour out this morning to walk the hounds.

Soup for DS this evening, I'm off out. Breakfast was bargainous smoked salmon and scrambled eggs - very posh for a Wednesday. I had a PT session yesterday and am making a real effort to eat more protein. This losing weight malarkey is ridiculously difficult when the concept is so easy - less energy in - more energy out.

    1p Tilly Tidy :)

Lots of discussions with DD before she left yesterday regarding house purchases. It's really motivating :)

Forgot to say that we are back on the RM survey wagon. Easy thing to do but I am inundated with stamps. I may have to eb@y some perhaps - never done that before

Right, I'd better jump in the shower as I'm in the office this morning.

  • Morning, boy it's a blustery one today. We are off to take the hounds for a long walk and there's a possibility we may not return :rotfl: Fortunately, we haven't lost fence panels, power, just a branch from the Rosemary bush.

L!dl shop this morning - £96  However, I have bought tons of veg and a fair amount of meat to batch cook. The peppers looked delicious. This also included some drill bits for Mr T as so many of his are blunt, if that's the right expression.

We are investigating alternative TV solutions as we tend to use iplayer, plus recorded box set type stuff. We have 'ummed and arrged' before about getting rid of Sk! but then not done it. Looks like this could be the time.

Due to the mild weather we haven't had mum move in over the winter period but she has a few problems with her house, which will require work, so she could be coming next month - or I could move in with her for a while. Should only take a couple of weeks. Her gas has reduced by over £30 a month which is good news. We have also sorted out her telephone and Internet and that's now £13 per month, including reduced calls to US and mainland Europe.

That's all for now. Dogs are calling :rotfl:

    Best wishes, Tilly x

  • Quick update before heading for a PT session at the gym. We used some of the entertainment budget to go to the cinema last night - a Taken 3 :T. It is ridiculously expensive though. I took waters with me and we ate before we left.

I am switching the menu plan round to have the carb element at lunch time, rather than the evening. Hopefully this will help shift a few lbs.

Church this morning and then I have the joys of catching up with the ironing, whilst listening to the Archers omnibus - I know how to live :)

The Archers was always the Sunday soundtrack in our house - brings back many memories if I here the music now :)

We're trialling Lovef1lm DVD rental. It's working out well so far, a very good range of things to choose from, and because there's a few days turnaround between receiving/watching/returning, we're kept entertained without forcing ourselves to binge watch to declutter DVDs :)
