Hi Tilly, popping in to say hi after a very long time away. Hope you and your family are well, I am looking forward to keeping on top of your thread again.MFW 2026 No. 7 £400/£5000

Morning, disastrous time in the kitchen last night  I realised I didn't have e nought potato for mash, so finely sliced what I had, drizzle of oil, S&P and popped them in the oven. I thought I'd do a 'deconstructed' fish pie :rotfl: Multiple telephone calls later, I remember the potato  Lets just say they were a new shade of black

Once Mr T got home it was poached fish (fortunately cooked with milk, pepper corns, bay leaves, parsley, so very tasty) chips and I hastily roasted some tomatoes. Therefore not a NSD as expected
Kitchen has at least returned to being clean and tidy and freezer is now empty of fish.
2 PC surveys in the bag last night - they do seem to be like buses at the moment
Dinner this evening is beef casserole, rice and peas/carrots. A bit boring on the veg but that's all I have left, which isn't planned for another meal.
Mr T has set off bright and early this morning, he's back tomorrow night. I'm out tomorrow evening and will need to leave his dinner ready to be 'pinged'.
Hump day already

I'm not quite sure where the last two days have gone and it's hard to believe its Friday tomorrow. I need a few more days in the week at the moment.
NSD in the bag
Bargainous chicken drumsticks marinated in five spice and a little soy sauce, cooked in the small oven, served with stir fried finely sliced peppers, onion, cabbage, carrots mmmmmmm.
Visited a girlfriend and much well needed laughter was enjoyed, plus NSD
Off to the gym tomorrow - still loving it

Hi Tilly, just catching up now I am back on here! Have been MIA too long. So glad you're enjoying the exercise, I started running in April and sometimes if I feel a little low I go for a 5k run and feel brilliant when I get back. It certainly is true about the endorphin release.
Hope the news about work continues to be positive.Nov 2025 - part 1 - £13,878 part 2 - £20,953 Total - £34,832 24 months to go!0 -

Change of plan :eek::j
Mr T is taking me to sung Eucharist at St. Paul's tomorrow :T:T:T
Seaside will have to wait until our hols
. I've always wanted to go and although the weather will be dodgy in the morning, we will either be on a train, a tube or inside
I may be a planner but never let it be said I'm not flexible
I feel ridiculously delighted.
Today will be washing (done), ironing (done), financials, empty and load dishwasher again (already done once we had friends round last night for dinner).
Shopping will be around £15 ish - I bought a few bits last night and bill was just over £16 - circa £30 sounds ok to me.
Freezer I'll be empty by Saturday morning :T. Nothing has been wasted and dinner next Saturday will finish off pitta breads. Defrost, clean here I come
I'll be off to C@stco after the holiday to buy meat and will batch cook meals and pop in the freezer. Start all over again :rotfl:
