It's kinda a tonic to keep the lurgy at bay, I don't like the taste but so far it has worked for me ... No lurgy ... Which is always a good thing :)

Morning, 76p TT to MOS. I'm popping back to C@stco tonight to pick up a couple of things on offer from today.

Not enough S&S chicken left for all of us this evening - I've packed a portion up for my lunch, one portion for the freezer and taken out HM roast beef in gravy from the freezer. DS has requested beef, mashed pots, carrots and peas so that's a quick meal. Moroccan veg stew is now in the freezer as Mr T didn't fancy a veg meal today. It tasted delicious btw.

Just listening to radio 4 farming programme and the weather forecast for the week sounds OK. Mild :).

Hope everyone has a good week. I'm trying to summon up the motivation to walk the hounds :o

  • Morning, another 2.2 miles in the bag :). I'd like to say it was easier but sadly no. Two scrambled eggs on a slice of toast for breakfast.

Mr T is getting ready to finish the painting :)

    Best wishes Tilly x

Hi Radish, we haven't had to do this yet, but they're discussing it on the RM survey thread on MSE. I must admit, I don't think you should have to pay with your own cash, but if we do have boxes to post, I will be saving the vouchers for DS.

I don't want to stop as I like receiving the stamps :rotfl:

Hi there, finally caught back up with you! Glad you're doing OK Tilly!

This RM survey malarky, I did it for about 18 months- I did the first 6 months then they immediately invited me again, then forgot about me and kept me at it for another 6 months. I'm finally off now although I still do the safely delivered surveys for them for the L2S vouchers. My point is though, that in all that time on the main survey, I never had to use my own money - everything was pre-stamped or pre-paid.

It only got to be a pain when doing the boxes because the lady at my nearest PO used to get really grumpy with me about them ~ I'm sure she knew what they were!

Have a great week this week!

  • Hi Tilly,

I agree with ajmoney with regards to running.
Thanks to my SW training, I know that any exercise you do is going to be great for you and walking (at a brisk pace) is one of the best things you can do.

The amount of "work" done is equal to the force acting x the length of time the force acts.

So a period of brisk walking can be equivalent to a period of running as although you're not working as hard, it takes longer to do the same distance. Result - same work done. However to get a benefit from walking, it has to be at a brisk pace so you can still hold a conversation, but your heart beat is raised.

All very technical - basically anything you do is good. It's getting started that's the key.

    Yay - some physics!

It's clear from your explanation, Thistlewhistle, that you mean force x distance (which is right) rather than force x time. I expect the biology's a bit more complicated - thanks for the explanation of the pace required - but I'm only a physics teacher, so I don't know much about that. :)

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
