  • Morning, looking forward to showing him around the area plus cookery lessons :T

Right updates - there are none. No pennies to TT anywhere :(

Woken up feeling so relieved that everything is sorted in the study. The 'to do' list is short and quick and my head feels less cluttered.

Mr T has just reminded me I need to leave in 40 minutes so I'd better get a move on.

    Have a good day

  • Hi Tilly

I started reading your thread and am about half way through. It might take me some time to catch up. :)

Best Wishes to MR T on the job front. I also recently ready Foggy diary, so pleased that he is moving in with you. He has certainly had a horrid time over the last few years.

Your approach has really struck accord with me. Me and OH moved into our first home 6 years ago and started overpaying £300 a month from day one.

We are also saving for our wedding next year.

Your diary, however, has made me think about saving for an emergency fund, saving to trying to start a family after the wedding especially the gap whilst on maternity leave and I think we need to increase our pension contributions as well.

I am not quite sure how we are going to do all of this

I do work long days, usually out of the house for 12 hours each day, so for dinner I usually use pre prepared veg to save time. I think, from reading your diary, this is an area I could definitely improve on.

Please may I be really cheeky and ask for you to send me your template meal plan. i think it will really help me plan better and save some money.

    Sorry for the long rambling.

Morning, sorry Froggy, I had a dreadful headache and went to bed as soon as I came home :(

Last night was sausages, mashed potatoes, leeks and onion gravy :T. Mr T was chef of the day.

  • Hi Laura, I will happily send a template to you, PM an email address.

It must be like reading War and Peace working through my diary so good luck. When you've done the standard scrubs, ask Sky to reduce, check all insurances etc, the main thing left is the food bill. Good luck with your planning. It's hard working long days and cooking when you come in. Meal planning and preparing once a month and during the weekend will be a big help to you :)

    Best wishes, Tilly x
