  • Morning, £co £2.75 has cleared and moved to MOS. No other pennies to move.

Friday already - the weeks are flying by.

Mr T and I had a quick chat last night, as so much of his salary was OPd, this latest challenge has been easier to cope with. Although it's disappointing not to OP, that's a choice rather than a necessity :) If we had still been spending at the same rate as we did years ago, we would have been well and truly stuffed. Thank you :money:

Plans for today - long dog walk after work, maybe see if there are any blackberries left, go food shopping as I'm out in the morning, long soak in the bath and Mr T is cooking (can't remember what). I came home yesterday to a house smelling of fresh bread and a large cooling tray full of rolls.

    Best wishes Tilly

  • The smell of bread rolls baking - how lovely. I'm afraid that's not the type of aroma I come home to if Mr F is in the house

  • I've just prepared an oven tray of tomatoes, garlic and a little chilli to cook on low in the oven. Smells fab. DS 'will we be having any meat with those'. Lost cause perhaps :rotfl:

    Need to head to work.

Morning, sorry Froggy, I had a dreadful headache and went to bed as soon as I came home :(

Hi Tilly, I had had a huge catch up as haven't been on here much lately. Still wishing Mr T good luck with his jobsearch.

What wonderful news about Froggy becoming the newest member of Tilly household.

I plan on making the chocolate sleighs with the children, I had seen them before bu now we're a bit closer to Christmas I can actually plan to do them! Is there a thread on MSE somewhere with Christmas ideas?

Also, if you do get chance I would also appreciate the meal plan template. We do batch cook but don't plan in advance and we are starting to buy bargainous meat deals from the butcher so would work out well. I've started my masters and have very little time at the moment!

    Thanks :)

Hi Tilly. Just been doing a diary catch up and read that Mr T's been made redundant. That's awful news :(. Thank goodness you're money savvy cos if anyone can get through this you can. And another job will turn up soon fingers crossed.

Can I be mega cheeky and ask for a copy of your menu plan spreadsheet please? It sounds very much what I need right now and I'd love to get more organised on the food front cos my food bills are through the roof!
I'll PM you my email address in the hope you will agree to send it. :)
