Hi Tilly
Really sorry to hear about Mr T's redundancy but I know that family Tilly will be of great support to each other and feel sure that Mr T will find a new great job
A very big well done to you all for what you have achieved to date, as others have rightly said this allows you to be in a much more favourable position to consider options and keep using the lessons learned so far.
Again, as others have commented, this news (and Froggy's) is making me reconsider my savings position in that I'm going to continue to focus on having cash accessible rather than throwing it all at the mortgage. I suspect my own employment is reaching a stage where the new operating models we are seeing every two years or so means we are all vulnerable
Take care Tilly
Regards

Getting ready to sign off - I'll miss the forum this weekend, but will focus on the positives in the RW - hopefully gardening, plus a catch up with a girlfriend.
Cupboards are sorted and Mr T will be on bread making duty for the next couple of weeks :T
Enjoy the sun and have a great weekend.

Helloooooooo
Strange not checking in first thing.

Shopping £26 :T
BBQ chicken this evening, Mr T is spatch cocking two and I'll marinade in an hour or so. Chicken carcasses can go into the slow cooker tomorrow to make stock for a risotto for the two of us tomorrow evening.
I'm finding interesting jars still in the fridge. I have tamarind to use up this week - off to explore recipes.
I'm leaving one courgette to grow large enough to stuff - another week should do it.
1P £40 has arrived and I've squirrelled it away. It's weird not to be OPing everything but I'm very grateful for having an offset mortgage. I am setting myself a challenge to save a further 6 months of bill money - although we already have 6 months offset today.
Have a good day
