Morning,
What a glorious day :T
23p TT OP
Mr T has been paid. He will sign the papers for redundancy today.
His job hunting is keeping him busy and now I'm not feeling quite so ill, my strength to cope with the future is improving.
Job for today - redundancy insurance for me. I cancelled it months ago for the two of us, but now that it's just me working, we need the security of knowing the mortgage can be paid.
So now a change in our journey, as this has caused us to rethink strategy and tactics.
I'll be using the weekend to re work our plans - if Mr T is gainfully employed soon, we will be better off than before; if it takes Mr T 6 months to find a job we will be no worse off than before; anything over 6 months and we will be living a very basic life. What a relief we grow so much stuff in the garden and are both able to cook.
It has certainly been a hard couple of weeks but I am inordinately proud of our family - to pull together in difficult times and supporting each other is a gift.
Thanks also to my lovely chums on here - the messages have been a big boost
I will be thinking about a blog this weekend - I'm seriously interested but I promise not to recommend buying too many loo rolls :T. They are on offer at Costc@ at the moment though.
Best wishes

It just goes to show Tilly that we are all in the same position regarding job insecurity, and should take stock regarding financial commitments v ready savings, should redundancy ever be experienced.
This is a real wake-up call for me, as I would be in an extremely vulnerable position regarding job loss.
Here's to Mr. T being employed very soon, as you deserve to be in a better financial position than beforeFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D

Somehow, I know and have full confidence that Mr T will find a great job quickly and that you will achieve your goals no matter what..

Very best wishes to you both. I am sure that the ingenious Mr T will soon find something new and you will be better off. Often these things are a push in the right direction.
Squirrel xxPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
All the best Tilly family, if anyone can turn the bad news on its head it you
Hope your still resting Mrs T and gaining your strength back xxx0 -
Shopping list prepared for tomorrow morning. As kids are off from this weekend, it means a very small shopping trip
Home made fish fingers and chips with HG crushed minted peas :T for dinner.
I'm going to sort out two kitchen cupboards today and check the larder. I'm still on track to empty the freezer during the next two weeks and defrost, clean and leave it turned off. I also have the funds saved to fill it up again
It's strange how life throws such curve balls at us - but what a relief for :money: as the things we have learnt are a blessing.
Ironing is done
Airing cupboard is emptied and contents put away
Kids are packed
Dogs need to be walked
Have a fab day

I think this is a reminder to us all of why we do this. Imagine if you hadn't come this far into the journey and still lived for the moment. It would be completely devastating to all.
I hope Mr T gets a job super fast. I would definitely read your blog too! Long live the TT :money::T:T
