Hi Tilly we have done our fair share of going around uni's it's expensive what with fuel and lunches. Also an overnighter when we travelled 6 hours to Falmouth. At least she's sorted now and starts in September.

Children's art projects are my current difficulty. What on earth to do with the lovingly-made creations of four small children. Maybe those of you with older children can advise! CA

Don't know if anyone else has answered this yet as I'm still reading through the whole thread! Started at P215 today so still away to go. When my kids were little I used to leave their "art work" on the dining room table for the "fairies to take away and decorate their houses with". Worked a treat when they were very little but obviously not once they got a bit older but by then they appreciated that we couldn't keep everything so anything they wanted to keep they had to choose another one to throw away. Don't know if that would help you so you only keep a couple of bits at a time.

PS I've finally finished the whole thread - not read all in one go I hasten to add. I shall now be reading regularly, although not posting often. I've already retired but still have a small mortgage so OPs are only TTs unfortunately - no lump sums.

We have memory boxes for the kids. Anything of importance to them gets put in the memory boxes-when they eventually leave home they can have their boxes to do with as they wish. :)

  • Hi JoeDenise, if MSE gave a badge for stamina, you would deserve it if you have read me whole diary. Apologies for all the waffle, it helps me stay focussed

Mr T and I are doing the rounds of various Uni's with DD to enable her to decide where to go. I'll be glad when she has decided - it's blinking expensive driving to both ends of the country.
If it seems like a pain now it will be when she's there. Dropping her off, picking her up and general visiting.

  • No money spent again - that's a relief

Slimming World chicken and chilli butter bean salad - pretty good and HM bread served with the kids meal.

Not much to report as we are on spending 'lockdown' LOL

Enjoying all the salads from the garden and I have a ripe strawberry - only 1, and I'm sharing it with DD :rotfl:

Washing all dried on the line.

Mr T has sorted out the car insurance - just need to get that completed.

    Best wishes
