  • Hi Tilly,

I hope your mint is in a separate pot - it'll take over the world if it isn't!
My OH planted up an old Belfast sink as a herb garden for me last year and it's currently bursting with rosemary, sage, parsley, dill, camomile, lavender and a beautiful bay tree.

Fresh herbs in my cooking and Thistle is a happy bunny!!!

    Tx

Hi Thistle, it's really weird but in our current garden, mint grows really poorly, whereas other houses, we've used a massive pot, this one, I grow in a raised bed - mad.

You can't beat popping outside to grab some herbs to throw in a dish. Beautiful.

    I LOVE dill too x x

Congrats on the new lodger Tilly - although I can't fathom for the life of me how anyone could put up with lodgers :D

    Hope you're getting the sun?

Good news re lodger. Ed I have to say I used to be wiv u on that but having had 3 over last year and a bit I've changed my mind. Mostly they are nice and sometimes even cook for me... Bonus :)

Congratulations on getting a new lodger Tilly.
  • Morning Mr E, I find the opposite, I prefer a houseful and cooking meals for more people, so lodgers are a good way of both earning £ and having the house full. I must admit though, when we downsize, I'm not sure we would do it :o

Thanks SweetDaisy/LauraJo, I just need to get the money in now :T

    Quick update,

    £3.26 TCB OP
    58p TT OP

I took advantage of the P£ter J@nes sale and bought two pairs of shoes plus went through TCB as well. Lets hope the cashback pays out.

I think that's all my spending done, I feel quite dizzy. Lula you need to come back and post more, you cope with this pressure better than I do :)

Out to the cinema this evening and then it's almost the long weekend :)

    Morning Tilly,

Good news on the lodger. I really enjoyed having mine as it always made the house feel warm and there was always somebody in which was good for security.

Enjoy your new shoes - hope you get the cash back. I need to get back onto the cash back sites. I did we'll on them last time.

    Have a good day,

I'm delighted and it will be good to have a regular 'extra' bit of cash to stash away for the renovations. If only we could just click our fingers :T

Morning, I wonder whether today will bring more rain, or whether we may see some yellow stuff in the sky - after the long winter it's tragic to have hit autumn, bypassing the summer :(

Stuff is sorted in the garage, we need to pack them into boxes ready for the morning. Car boot sale here we come.

Have relisted three things on eb@y aagghh

Off shopping in a couple of hours and minimal spends - I'm taking cash and no cards so we cannot be tempted.

My free Ch@nel mascara arrived yesterday. I'd forgotten so that was a lovely surprise. Plus free coffee sample, which Mr T had last night.

It's time to menu plan - that can be Sunday afternoon. We're having a quiet BH weekend as we've been busy for the last couple of months. We want to see Star Trek at some point today :T

I have a small bag of clothes for the charity shop (thanks DS). DD wants to revamp her wardrobe after her exams finish - my recent shopping extravaganza has set her thinking :)

Ironing is on the list, plus washing and I want to do some gardening and put more seeds/veg in.

    Best wishes Tilly x
