  • Hi Billy, You must have even watching me today as you very accurately described my day, however you omitted the heavy breathing ....

Look forward to hearing more of your exploits next week.

  • Evening, DH has quietly had the house valued by 3 EA - so below in my sig, I have now shown an updated state of affairs. Now I am representing total debt against total property assets, excluding savings, as I want these to come into play when we switch.

It has been an eye opener as I know I was being cautious but close to £30k higher is excellent LTV news.

So after the excitement of him telling me, I am off to persuade him to make me a cuppa !

    Night all, Tilly x

  • Morning Tilly,

Well done on the running and well done to DH for the valuations:j, where all three quite close? That gives you a good figure for the new mortgage.
Ohh and fab getting another lodger, that's something i keep thinking about. Do you advertise locally or is there a web site you (or any of the Tilly followers) would recommend? Have you signed contracts with them or is it more casual? Apologies for all the questions!

Hi PWD, DH really surprised me, they were all reasonably close and we plumped for middle.

I will PM you with the company I use for rooms. I have found them to be an excellent source, but I do an inventory with the guest, plus I retain responsibility for changing the bedding and cleaning the bathroom - as I want to know my house is clean.

I will finish post in a mo. Tilly x

  • Hi PWD, just to finish off, we do use a contract as I wanted to cover myself, in case there was a problem, and this way there is no confusion about rights, terms etc.

Good luck, we all find it works well but I would not want 7 day a week lodgers - I know on Friday night that we have the house back until Monday night and that's the important time. The week is so busy it passes in a flash and it works OK.

    Best wishes Tilly x
