I really need to get on board with the menu planning for this month. I have found loads of things that are easy to have a go but I am working such weird days that I can't work out how to do it. This is still the area we could do with the biggest saving. I am also considering being naughty next month and am planning a low calorie month/week but not telling Mr AJM :rotfl:

  • Back again.

    Weather miserable

    Freezer and larder inventory finished
Menu plan for May finished - 5 cookbooks used so loads of new recipes :T

Minimal shopping needed as most of the ingredients are already in the freezer :T

  • Happy days

No gardening done as it has rained on and off most of the day.

Time hasn't been wasted though. We have sorted the insurance for the cats for the year. £50.50 TCB, which has tracked (payment is obviously a different matter.....). Plus it is £16 less per month :T

Insurance for dogs is cheaper with the current provider so we will stay put:)

Bargainous garlic 3 huge bulbs for 10p :T

All financials finished, paperwork for relatives sorted :)

I am having a glass of wine with spatch cocked chicken with Harissa, roasted in the oven and served with a HUGE salad. Back on the wagon as last night I had chips  They were gorgeous though :j

Have a lovely evening. We're off to see relatives and have a family meal tomorrow, so hope the weather is good for everyone.

    Best wishes Tilly x x

I did a bit of a 'will I or won't I' through TCB today tilly.....I registered with a casino site beginning with C and deposited and played through £10 to receive £45.45 cash back. I'm just hoping it pays out otherwise I've wasted both a tenner and time I should have spent studying:eek:

Morning Natty, fingers crossed it pays out, as that's a fab cashback amount :T

Good luck with the studying today - your brain won't fit your head by the time you've finished :)

  • Morning, very foggy here this morning, but we will be leaving in an hour, so hopefully it will clear before we head for the motorway.

Halif@x shuffle completed and OPd :)

£2.34 TT (from a few accounts) OP last night

No food plans for today as we won't be home until late, however tomorrow I'm making a vanilla sponge cake, with ros! petal jam filling (needs using up, it came in a Christmas hamper present and has been very challenging to use up :o). Viennese biscuits, carrot cake and a Lemon drizzle cake. I've got a couple of evenings having a coffee and cake catch up with friends this coming week, so I'm taking the cakes :). I'll need to do more exercises to work the calories off ;)

I want to make a German strudal cake but not sure I'll have the time.

On a financial front, I'm setting up an OP for the £16 saving from the cat insurance. May as well benefit from the saving otherwise it will get lost.

I added up the PC earnings and this year we've received £27 :). I need to make an OP for this as well.

Definitely need time in the garden tomorrow, I've bought two more apple trees which need planting. Plus to give our basil a head start, I've bought a plant to drop into a pot - my seedlings can keep growing in the meantime :)

    Right, need to get cracking.

    Have a fab day

Well done with your TT OPs and PC earnings.

Tilly, want to hold online baking lessons? - I can be your first student :D Here is my poor attempt at Madeira cake yesterday - half of which has already disappeared though. :) Have a relaxing Sunday today and another sunny BH tomorrow :)
