Sleep well, hope you manage to get the heating off soon, we still use ours all year ... Although we're usually down to 3-4 hours during June July and August ... Then it gets ramped back up end of August beginning of September ... And I wonder why my bills are so high lol

3-4 hours a day in summer?

I tend to not have mine on from April to October and have the window on the latch all summer!

I know it's shocking tbh ... But our house is freezing even in summer ... Today( well yesterday now) it was on from 9.30 am and I turned it off when I left for work at 9.20pm hubby turned it back on till 1 am ( he phoned me to moan about how cold the house was as he hasn't noticed I had turned it off till nearly 11pm) tomorrow will probably be the same as well

Some days we don't have it in as long ( I try to cut back through the week) but other days its never off ... Hubby is always moaning he is freezing though ... I reckon he must be cold blooded or something

Good morning, well there isn't any sun and it's still cold but I live in hope.

It just goes to show how the weather can change our moods. I remember last year BBQing and eating outside before now and this year I've hardly had a cup of tea outside at all. I normally love being up really early and walking the dogs, then watering the veg in the garden. This year there is hardly anything going on at all :(

Anyway, need to crack on with the ironing, are people sneaking their ironing piles into my house :o

Food shopping has been really low at just over £22 :j. Back on freezer contents and my home made frozen meals. Normally we are eating salads by now with various HM breads to go with it. Adding whatever protein we fancy. I have some poached chicken in the freezer which was poached with star anise, onion and bay leaves. That's dinner tomorrow using up the poaching stock in a risotto.

Goodness El, I'm not sure I could cope with that much cold.

Happy belated birthday greetings Thistle's OH - hope you enjoyed your day :T:T

I'm going to sort the fridges after church if it doesn't warm up :rotfl: what an exciting life I'm leading.

  • Morning Tilly and the gang (better than Kool and the Gang),
blowing a gale here and the odd smattering of rain - which the ground needs as it's been suspiciously dry!

El, we didn't switch on our heaters last night and we survived:j, where are you? Oh and i dried loads of washing on the line yesterday too, don't think i'll get any out today with the rain but will watch the weather closely!

Some of our daffs have opened this morning, so maybe just maybe...

Good luck with the fridges Tilly, we want a progress report later!

    Morning all

Likewise re the weather! Where is the lovely day and 20 degrees forecast!?

It is absolutely blowing a gale here and I can hear the wind whistling outside, all the trees around here (big strong ones, not little saplings) are bending backwards and forwards as the wind is so strong; it really is like a proper storm and the sky is heavy and grey and looks full of rain

Elatan, your OH sounds like me, always cold. The months and seasons mean nothing to me, I know I work away a lot but I would say there are only a handful of days a year when my heating is not on at some point :o

    Regards

I am liking the strongwinds here as they are drying my laundry - as long as I weigh each item down with half a bag of pegs! :D

It is also bright and sunshiny for now - not warm but feels like a spring day again :j
