  • Evening SSS, I know it's still huge, but when it starts with. £1........ we will be :j and :T with joy. Then it's the next haul to get to five figures.

Sorry to hear about the person who has lost their job at work. It's certainly a difficult time right now.

    Morning, it's Friday :T:T:T

Having a treat for dinner this evening. Rib Eye steak and salad :)

Poor Miss T is feeling very under the weather today, so no school for her. She is back in bed under instructions to go back to sleep. Can someone tell me to do that please?

3p TT OP today, the pennies are veritably flying towards the mortgage.

I need to do a bigger shop tomorrow, but having had a very frugal January, a reasonable February - I need to double check final Feb grocery spend but it's about £180 ish. Tomorrow is also going to be a baking day in the Tilly household. This will include cakes for kids lunch boxes, a variety of loaves and rolls and perhaps some biscuits. Some stuff for the freezer, biscuit mix to be made up, rolled then put into the fridge ready to use in the week.

I have a yearning for lamb shanks. They are a real favourite and the last time I cooked them, just before Xmas, I was really under the weather and not able to eat :(. So I am switching dinner on Saturday to a lamb shanks :)

Enjoy Friday and first bank holidays of the year are just round the corner now.

Edited to add: Eb@y is now at £60.70 with about 30 hours to go

    Best wishes Tilly x

  • Just secured the SKY 30 day free film offer. Mr T and DS will be happy, but more importantly we get two free cineworld tickets if we watch 90 minutes which we will do.

    Thanks :money:

    Hi Tilly
I hope you don't mind me delurking and ambushing your diary. I read that you donated food to a local food bank at Christmas. I have just answered a plea from my local one and have been told that many food banks are now running low on essential items as the Christmas donations have been used up.

If people can afford it, can I ask that your "followers" might give them a call and see what they need this weekend. Whilst I am appalled that we need to do this, I see people everyday through my work who are genuinely struggling and need a hand.

Many thanks and I hope you are not offended by my posting this on your diary.

Hi Tilly, that's great going on the mortgage, well done. And that amount for a grocery spend for the month is pretty good going too. Lambs shanks big fave of mine too, especially when done in the slow cooker, yum yum.

    Not offended at all.

Funnily enough a colleague and I were discussing this only today, driven by requests for cakes for red nose day. I've suggested that our team makes another FB £ donation instead.

I've also set up a swear box a work with the quarterly proceeds going to the FB as well. I have to say though, that I am personally filling that one :o

Thanks and please delurk more often

  • Happy days, came home from work to free Home and Garden free gift. They have run out of smaller giveaways, so have sent two full size and one 100ml size. Fab.

Just checked them out on eb@y and the two full sizes are selling for around £20 ish at the moment. They will definitely be selling.

So thank you NATTY for posting as looks like it was a brilliant find :T

Thanks for this - I was just thinking the other day it was a while since I had done this :T.
