    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • Sadly I knocked back a whole bottle of bargain cava. Such debauchery.....
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

I have reservations about shopping at Mr T as well Tilly. I now minimise my visits there and don't do a big shop there if I can avoid it.

I had bad experiences with their customer service so I just think they we not a great chain.

I buy the bargains, especially Savvy Buys, off mysupermarket and use SSM vouchers. Today's list is muller lights, fat free Greek yog, haagen dazs (for next weekend), dairy free chocolate (unless Lidl's have any) and a hand mixer. Plus a look at the sorbets.

    Lidl list is v exciting:
    3 x meat/fish offers
    Milk
    Fruit
    Peas
    Basil
    Fruit
    Bread

    Oh, the glamour :rotfl:.

Pix, you're as bad as Froggy :rotfl::rotfl:

Natty, SSS, Katsu, GG - my wayward days are over, back on the wagon :T

Weekly shop came to around £18. I bought a couple of things to take to a friends but that's out of entertainment pot.

Popped into C@stco and bought some stewing steak, so will be making a huge slow cooked beef casserole tomorrow, will portion and freeze.

Washing in the machine and that's the last job to do. Eb@y will be calling in the morning. An eclectic mix of things to sell but hopefully they will go, or I will keep relisting.

I haven't waxed lyrical for a while on my diary. I feel truly blessed right now. My jar of 'good' deeds or lovely comments, call it what you will is growing. I feel fortunate to have met some fab people through this site and to be able to speak freely with people who understand the journey we are all on. Whilst there are always things we desire, the need vs want is clearly imbedded now. I don't believe anyone's life is ever perfect but the lessons from this site have made me a much happier person. So a big thank you to everyone who posts or lurks

    Best wishes Tilly x x

I'm going to use the cashback card for that this year, rather than Tesc@. I am the point of boycotting Tesc@ now. I used to shop there often, now it's maybe once a month but I feel quite strongly about their exploitative style. We will see how this goes. Tilly x

I have had my Capital One cashback credit card since 2011 and I use this for every purchase. Previous to this I used to shop at Tesco and use my Tesco Credit Card for everything purchase (not only at Tesco's) to build up my points. It was brilliant when Tesco did the double points, but now that I only occasionally shop there it is not worth using. I had my Tesco vouchers in the post today and only had £4.50 where as before I could easily get £20-30!
