Perhaps cutting down on the snacking of lodgers who aren't behaving themselves may help?
Other than that Tilly, I have had no alcohol since just before the end of December, as you are also aware I have become a veritable :A with regards to no crisps, chocolate or biscuits. And what have I lost????? 2 bleedin' lbs, I am raging with my body for not keeping up with its side of the bargain:( surely it could have put in a bit more effort seeing as I have become a veritable :A and all:cool:

Hi Natty, weight is a it of a b£gger and I understand exactly what you mean about the body not keeping its side of the bargain.

Hopefully 1lb a week will work, slow and steady but consistently down and staying off.

Hi Ultrarunner, thanks for the advice. I won't be touching the scales until next Sunday so fingers crossed.

I wish you lot would throw away the scales .... Your weight is not the important bit, it's how your clothes feel, it's how you feel that matters, remember in order to loose fat you need to gain muscle, muscle requires more energy to burn than fat

If you MUST weigh yourself do it no more than once a month,

I gave the exact same lecture to hubby the other day ... I hope you all listen better than him :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Please do listen, think about the wee down but you felt when you stood in them and realised you had gained weight .... Now if you hadn't done that you would've been more aware of how good your doing, and from what you are saying you are doing good, so keep that up and eventually the scales will catch up with you :)

Measure by the jeans getting looser till then :)

Now to find an alternative excercise for me hmmm

Jeans getting looser is an excellent way to measure it. Jeans getting tighter is more of a problem. :(
