  • All receipts now sorted and checked off on line bills. What a big relief it is to know it is finished. We end 2011 in a far better position than we entered. It's strange how these LB moments can significantly change your life. In previous years we have just rolled debt around, knowing that our earnings could cope but they really can't.

So good luck to everyone for 2012. I am off now to prepare for New Years Eve and will catch up with everyones diaries tomorrow.

    Best wishes Tillyx

    Hi Tilly

I've been reading your inspiring diary and have learnt lots about planning ahead - my favourite tip is freezing cooked onions and garlic for risotto, which I have done today! Genius, Thanks

I'm looking forward to following you in 2012 and wish you and yours a very Happy New Year x
  • Hi MacGirl, thanks for your kind comments. Hope all goes well in 2012 and let's stop the bankers getting our cash.

    Best wishes Tilly

  • No cookery books to go, I couldn't part with any :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Kids have emptied their wardrobes though so I have at least two mega bundles for eBay with good makes bought in the sales. I just need to wait for a free listing day.

Great food savings tips on your diary Tilly, I love my slow cooker and my rice cooker. Happy New Year to you.

  • Hi CathT, thanks for your support. I love cooking and am happy in the kitchen with my books etc. I find it a good way to relax, but in 2012 I had better start finding walking better otherwise I won't shift these few lbs.

    Best wishes for 2012, Tilly

    Happy new year Tilly :)
Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.
    MFW 2020: 1 Jan £92903.90 ~ OP £536.80/£500
    MFW 2021: 1 Jan £89281.21 ~ OP £404.62/£500
    MFW 2022: 1 Jan £85579.20 ~ OPs on hold.
  • Personal goals:

Increase daily steps back up to 10k
No alcohol from now until 1/3/12
No chocolate from now until 1/3/12

That's it for me - the alcohol and chocolate are my way of losing 10lbs (not entirely but combined with the walking). This will mean I can still celebrate shifting the mortgage in March:j

    Best wishes to all
