Ooh Egg & Spoon race, I loved that race at school plus I didn't cheat and put my thumb on the egg (or ball in my school)
Why has that thought just popped into my head, must have been after the 3 legged raceMortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0

What a glorious morning. Sun is shining and air smells beautiful.
I have certainly enjoyed the Olympics. We were off for a spendy night but the kids have chosen Olympics. I was planning on taking us all to a Shakespeare event near us on Saturday but the Olympics have won again - we will be watching athletics and diving instead. We don't normally plan our social life around the TV so this is an exception.
BBQ this evening with marinated pork fillet in 5 spice and a little soy, along with sausages, new potatoes and salad. Home made roast garlic bread from the freezer. The 'using stuff up from the fridge' has gone well and the only thing left to go is mincemeat - now do I really want to use that in August, or assume it will still be ok in autumn?
I need some fresh veg, fruit and milk and will pop into L!dl.
A little ironing before work and dogs will be walked at lunchtime.
That's it for now - have a great day and enjoy the sun.
@Radish, my kids used to loved egg and spoon races at school. I remember DS coming first in a race, with his tongue sticking out in concentration :rotfl:

Mincemeat slice is yummy, i make up a short bread mix and sandwich a layer of mincemeat between before baking, extra yummy served warm with cream.1 -
I like the idea of being in a relay, as I would be at the back of the pack in a sprint or marathon :j
I'd still be the one in the stand :rotfl:Tilly_MFW_in_6_YRS wrote: »I will be on the MF podium before the next Olympics.:):)
Shove over missus, it's a team event, stop hogging all the limelight.
