I'll make you feel better Gally - there literally are around 250 months for me to go to be MF (minus overpayments). :rotfl: *Its a marathon not a sprint* (I'll just keep telling myself that!)
  • Morning Ammonite, don't forget the 46 months includes the OPs, if I just did the normal standard payments it would be something like 144 months ish

Whilst it hurts a little shifting the OP money into a pot, some of which is actually directly OPd and some left in the offset - hurts mainly because we have had years of stupidity and it is easy to spend - once its moved it doesn't exist and we live on the remaining income. This has really helped our budgeting and planning. I do have the occasional urge to go and buy a pair of shoes, but I just don't.

Have a lovely day and hope you have some sun :)

I have a lot of potatoes to use up so tonight is rosti with bargainous steaks, and a grated carrot, sesame seed/oil salad. I am making a cheese and potato pie for Monday night with roast peppers and garlic. I need to ask Mr T to make some bread today - that can be done when we get back. If I roast some garlic, then he can make a garlic loaf as well, that really is delicious and goes down well with all.

Oh my goodness Tilly, I swear I nearly did a little drool on my keyboard :o the above ticks alllllll my boxes. I really struggle to make rosti's I just can't seem to get them right, I still dream of ones I've had in Austria over the years :D
I am off to neaten a couple of hedges, (I chose my words carefully there :rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Love it! This reminds me of a very long standing family joke about my mother, we all can't wait for it to snow every year just so we can tease her about it!
In fact in order to hit Mr Ts birthday, it has to 46 months with payment due in June being 1/46 Gulp...........

Hmm, don't think we didn't notice what you did there Tilly, we can all see fine well that you didn't mention exactly which birthday and we also know this is because you can then change the MFW date and make it his birthday in 34 months ;)

Hi there Tilly, long time no post from me!

I've just had a very enjoyable hour catching up on your thread, 9 pages since I last checked in!

I can guess how excited you must be to make that OP this month after last month but as one poster so eloquently put it you still made lots of achievements and were still reducing the mortgage

How are you feeling, having just read so much all in one go I could see a number of references to you feeling not so good, low energy etc. Having just had a spell off work myself after pushing myself too hard this is very close to my heart so make sure you are getting lots of T time and I don't mean cooking and ironing :D

Hi ATT, I was only thinking about you today, thanks for stopping by. I have been a little under the weather and I don't think the weather has helped but it has been glorious today which has certainly brought a smile to my face.

I gather we have sun tomorrow and then that's it until end of June  Definitely not too happy about that.

Take care and hope you are feeling back on top form.

    Best wishes Tilly x

Hi Tilly, i'm feeling miles better thanks but sorry to hear you are a little under the weather, I hope you feel better soon

Talking of weather lol, fancy you seeing the sun today, it's been raining stairods most of the day here but a little bit of blue sky and sun poked out a bit not long ago :o

I did laugh at one of the earlier posts asking what that bright yellow thing was in the sky - exactly :D

BTW, is anyone else getting regularly signed out on here? It seemed to start a few months ago whereby even if I'm just viewing for about 10 minutes the next thing I know I've been signed out and it never used to be like that?

  • Evening ATT, weather is quite glorious now and we even had dinner outside :)

I have been signed out a number of times but put it down to using an iPad but perhaps not? I hope it's nothing to do with the change of ownership?

Have a good week and I hope the strange yellow thing in the sky visits you shortly :)

    Hiya Tilly

    "weather" "glorious" "dinner outside"

What is this strange language that thou speakest of? :rotfl:

    Sounds fab!

I'm just about to have some apple and blackberry tart with thick cream, sadly not made by my own fair hand

Morning ATT, I love apple and blackberry pie, and funnily enough I have some blackberries in the freezer :). Will switch dessert on Saturday to that. I have family coming to stay and very much looking forward to it.

Don't worry about the sun, it's had it's annual outing and as of tomorrow we seem to have rain scheduled every day through end June :eek:
