Thanks again guys. I went all round the area where the possible sighting was, and have dropped leaflets, flyers etc round about. Shouted myself hoarse, but nothing yet. I stood looking over the vast expanse of fields and moorland and felt a bit defeated.

On the way home, I got charged with having a broken tail light, but not before the policeman asked if we had found Ruars yet. I wish he'd been nasty frist then nice later. When asked if I had anything to rply to the charge, I just said 'yeah, find my dog' to which he just patted my arm and went off.

I know I should have got it fixed when it happened but I simply forgot it was there! I know they were just doing their job, but it has really taken me down a good deal. As if my energey has went in one fell swoop.

The dairy with the local milk rounds is just beside my work Lisa, so they know all about it.

Yesterday I was so energetic, so positive..now I feel as if I'm done. There's nothing left.

Chris- thank you, I'll put my tin hat on though. They're a bit of a bunch in the Arms aren't they.

Sorry for being so defeatist sounding and rambling again.
Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

If you can't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them.

I will respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them :)

You'd think he could have given you a warning and told you to get it fixed right away otherwise they'd charge you next time. :(

My family were Police bods and the ones who are left despair about today's times. Don't get me wrong, they weren't defiant rule breakers or anything, but they got a lot more respect in those days because they didn't make up their numbers with easy targets like they seem to do these days.

Never mind sazzy, in the whole scheme of things it's just an incident that isn't going to change your life so don't spend time fretting about it.

Maybe you should try to have a day off. I know.... you feel like you can't/don't want to....but maybe you need to just sit down and watch the telly for a while, even if it means you only stare at the screen. :undecided

Well how many old labradors are pottering around the Nairn area on their own?? These sightings have GOT to mean something, surely? The next one to sight him might just be able to entice him over then hang on to him for dear life!

    indeed zaksmum - totally agree.

and not only a labrador pottering around - a labrador with a white muzzle pottering around.

aaawww warms my heart that he wagged his tail at the lady - what a cutie x
