Just wanted to let you know that along with everyone else, Im still hoping for the safe return of your big chap. I had an old lab cross called Ben who sadly developed nasal cancer and had to be PTS when he was 14. He was such a gentleman and used to "talk" to me as only old chaps can. Ruars reminds me so much of my Ben.

Still keeping everything crossed Aileen, I think you've done wonders to carry on as you have, and you deserve to have him home AND the joy a suidgy little puppy gives.

Thanks Rosie-I know exactly what you mean-and I'm so sorry about your Ben.. those old boys really get round you don't they?

Candy- he's beside himself! We get her on Saturday, but he's met her, and you wouldn't believe how gentle he is! He's only 8 months old himself, but you can see the look of responsibilty on his face already when he was with her...lol

Ali- her breath smells of burnt toast- you know that smell only puppies have? And she has the JRT 'pootle' (I call it) Seems to be a way JRTs walk when they're babies.

Want my old man home to share in it. I would hate anyone to think that I'm replacing him- I'm not. The ache is just as bad, if not worse than it was on the 5th of November.

There is always hope, some friends lost a lurcher pup about 12 months ago, she was returned home by the police today, though fully grown! One very happy family.

Your Zelda looks really lovely, and I know you will have already made a dog-proof run/yard for her, Bruce and Ruaridh to use,especially when things are stressful.

Ruars will be well pleased to meet Zelda when he comes home, my old lab boy was a right "aunty" to every puppy he met.

I've always known how my pets have ended, I really can't begin to imagine the pain of your situatiion.

You're not replacing Ruars - he's irreplaceable.

I love the smell of puppies, and their cute tummies :T

I so hope Ruars finds his way home to share the new addition and I can understand the ache getting worse. It is the not knowing.....
