Sorry but you we (the public) are buying from them (Tesco). You clearly have not heard the expression that 'the customer is always right'. Disgraceful place, I loathe going there. I went there (only because I had a two hours to wait for my daughter to go to a movie) and decided to buy some fireworks especially as there was an offer, buy for 50.00 and get petrol at 5p off. I bought my groceries, (approximately 35.00) and put them in the car, then went to buy the fireworks. I was told that I could not include the firework purchase towards the deal as they were two separate transactions. Goodness, 11 minutes apart. Tried talking to the so called 'customer manager' etc etc but as with all dealings (or should I say complaints) with T, no progress. Misrepresentation at its best although pretty typical. No wonder its the first time in 4 years I have shopped in Tesco. It will be a very frosty Friday before I go again. Movie or not!!

I've heard it, and it's the biggest load of bull ever! I'm all for top notch CS, but unfortunately not all customers deserve it.

With regards to your situations, i've had a couple during previous promotions and they are automatically printed when you pay for your goods. Its a spend £50 or more promotion, not a spend £50 or more in one day promotion. I wouldn't say it's misrepresentation, more like a misunderstanding of the deal.

You don't seem to have got it 100% yourself.

The salient point (underlined) is that it is a "spend £50 in one transaction" deal.

It actually says so on the coupon.
