So i'm not alone!! I thought my girls where the only ones who ate cat biscuits, slept in cardboard boxes and nabbed their mum's make up!
Tonight DD2 has gone to sleep in her pirate ship - a large box with all her teddies and a sleeping bag inside.
Their best toys are: homemade playdough, dressing up, anything arty like painting or sticking (save up all old cards etc for this) and make believe games schools, mums and dads etc.0 -
The laptop
About a year ago, a friend's DS was 3 and she told me how he'd bought something off Ebay (it was Buy it Now; they managed to cancel the sale after explaining things to the seller) . I laughed.
A year later, my DS is 3. So far, he's downloaded stuff, sent emails, Skyped people, and for some reason I've got Netscape Navigator icons all over my desktop - all thanks to him.

My 3 year old is obsessed with fixing things so i bought him a tool kit from the poundshop!!!! He always pretend to fix door locks and his toy cars and it keeps him amused for longer than any of his toys do!!!

My ds mainly plays with cars but he does have certain things that he 'does'
He likes to line things up, he has a box of 5 puzzles which he puts together and lines them up neatly, i put some drinks bottles by the front door to go out for recycling, he lined them up, same with his cars.
He has to turn lights, telly, washing machine on, if i do it he will switch them back off then turn them back on.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
tupperware!!! Just been to my mums for tea and we all had to have tupperware bowls on our heads and be firemen with my 2yr old son. He loves her tupperware cupboard, me and my sister used to play with the same tupperware when we were small! Good advert for tupperware!:T0

My kids used to love playing with our cat flap, anything that disappeared in the house...we just checked the cat flap, and sure enough, there lay the missing items, keys, remotes, dummies, you name it, sometimes in the rain lol.
Also one of the best things my son loved during the summer, was to sit in a washing up bowl of tepid water. No need to fill up a big pool of water for my tiny child, and was quick and easy to replace when it was dirty!

My dd now 3.5yo was the one into lining things up she used to do it mainly with remote controls and phones cos we had quite a few remotes and dud phones that we let her play with. She also had a set of 6 soft plastic building bricks that she used to line up on my parents tv cabinet with all the animal pictures showing - now my ds does it but with numbers and letters showing...You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs

My son is 6mo and likes to play with a muslin cloth (usually when I've put it around his chest as a bib).
He also likes to grab the remote control and he does play with the spoon that I'm using to feed him with. There's usually food everywhere at mealtimes. :rolleyes:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 027
