My little girl turned 1 last week and wants to play with anything she isnt alowed to play with like remote controles, she has already managed to change all the menu's into a different language and now we dont know what the menu's are to change it back, telephones, keys, anything but her toys really, I spend half my day running round moving stuff :D
  • My 18 month DD loves playing with my make-up bag and its contents. She doesn't make a mess but I do make sure the twisty type containers on the blusher and powder are screwed tight :D

I used to get cardboard boxes, cut out holes and draw all over with crayons - one day she was in a car, the next a truck, the next a train.....

tupperware and wooden spoons weren't as noisy as pans an wooden spoons

my mum used to let her stand on a chair in the kitchen and let her mix all sorts of stuff out of the cupboards - flour, rice, oats, water, peas, lentils, pasta etc and it would keep her busy for hours - then she would let her stand on a chair at the sink and wash up all the stuff - she loved to play with the bubbles and pour water from one container to another and use the whisk to make more bubbles
  • lol, some of your kiddies make me laugh. I know how it is though. My friends become a little disheartened when they see that she is not interested in the great latest pressies they bring her - she would much perfer their keys or mobile phones.

At the mo her favourite is a tin of celebrations -she was happy to just bang on it for a while until she realised there are sweeties inside so now she is intent on getting them out and trying to scoff them.

Anything she is not supposed to have is what she wants - coathangers, remote controls, keys, mobile phones, and any of her clothes that have poppers or buttons (we have to watch her 24/7 with that one). She will play with toys but only for a max of ten minutes at a time. Her favourite toys are me and daddy though, bless!

toilet roll inners and old (clean) socks for hand puppets, plus vast amounts of sellotape, string, cardboard and scrap paper keep my two occupied for hours, making stuff. They're 7 and 5, both their bedrooms are stuffed with toys they've been bought by loving relatives, and they play with the contents of the recycling bin. Typical.
Before you criticise a man, walk a mile in his shoes. Then, when you do criticise him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes.

My darling 18 month old daughter is obsessed with phones and anything that resembles them especially remote controls. I wish I could understand what she says (sometimes it sounds Russian sometimes Chinese) but she will chat away for ages.
She discovered a new toy yesterday got the rubbish safety lock thing out of the video ejected the tape and was just putting her hands into the slot when I caught her:eek:
