am calm now! just really annoyed at myself as cant afford to pay out,nor can I afford my insurance to go up...but one of them has to give!!!
it was a 2008 Fiat Punto Grande Active...am intrigued now
the scratch was where the back dips in to fit the reg plate in...on the edge where the bodywork starts to dip in there was a small scratch, which they summise was made by my reg plate or front bumper..either way it was my fault, but in the dark it was hard to see any damage ( i wiped away what they thought was a scratch but turned out to be mud!!!) and i obviously dontknow if that scratch was there before i bumped it!
Like I said, a bottle of T-Cut from Halfrauds and it will polish out. It will cost you £4 tops and 5 minutes of your time.0 -
went to T in Gl£navy and spotted Logitech wireless M305 mouse the one with a nano reciever for 3£. Bought 4 - presents sorted.
In the same time a set of Disneys B1G1F came handy.
I tried to copp my luck in another T but they did not have the M305 mouse.0 -

I'd definately go with the T-Cut. Works miricles with a bit of elbow greece! Ive used it loads f times to getmuch bigger scratches out of my car than the one you described! x x''Aim for the moon, because if you miss you will still land amongst the stars''0 -

Like this one?
If the damage is as you suggest then its a case of a minor repair, colour over the repair and laquer out the bumper. A body shop won't charge more than £200 to do that, and many will charge less.
See what she says when you speak to her first and then get back to us on here. Plenty of good advice on here I'm sure.0 -

Yes but it won't 'cut it' when it comes to their 2 grand a piece whip lash claims! Seen it happen too many times sadly.0 -

Just make sure you wash the area thoroughly. If it's covered in muck and fine grit/dust off the road you don't want to go polishing that in to the paintwork.:eek::eek:0
