thought it might help you to also add that some nasty old couple once tried it on with me and attempted to blame me for a pile of dings on their car - basically i was driving the aforementioned pickup and they slammed their brakes on halfway across a roundabout for no reason.

i stopped within milimetres of their bumper, but they got out of their car and claimed that i had hit them caused a whole line of marks on their car - ok they were the right colour, but they were way too low for my rather embarrasingly large vehicle, and i told them so
they insisted and so i offered to go to the garage of their choice and have it inspected and if they agreed it could have been my vehicle that caused the marks, then i'd pay for any damage upfront.

lo and behold i never heard from them again!

sheesh, i sound like a very bad driver, all these accidents!

i also got rear ended in los angeles once (ooh sounds a bit rude) but that was totally not my fault and the guy even offered me free staples center tickets....

(edit) not as bad as my brother though, he once hit a buffalo! :rotfl:

Just a quick post thanks to the OP on the Friji. Best buy for me tonight was 6 milkshakes and 6 pack of pepsi on half price at the moment. Only 8p to pay. :D

My milkshakes are date 26/11, 27/11 and 29/11 so a little while on them. Happy days.:T
  • Yeah, pity she never looked for witnesses. Besides, I think if anyone looked at the two cars and seen no damage whiplash would be hard to prove. Even for the slightest case of whiplash there would be some damage.

I always had a camera in my car/tractor just in case as photographs hold up better than your word and nobody can argue with them. Most insurance companies/AA/RAC recommend that you carry a camera with you.

There was a very very nasty accident up here a few months back where some girl went the wrong way down a slip road and joined the dual carriageway heading the wrong direction. She had the cheek to say it wasn't her fault but a lorry driver had a 'Road Angel' camera fitted to his truck that recorded everything. I was going to buy sis one of these for when she got her car but she changed her mind at the last minute. If I ever own a car again the first thing I would invest in is a road angel as there are just too many people out there that shouldn't have licences. But for anyone who contemplates getting these things, be warned, they also incriminate you.

Sorry, I said 'road angel' but it's 'road hawk'.

The video of the accident is on YouTube.

    Like this one?

If the damage is as you suggest then its a case of a minor repair, colour over the repair and laquer out the bumper. A body shop won't charge more than £200 to do that, and many will charge less.

See what she says when you speak to her first and then get back to us on here. Plenty of good advice on here I'm sure.

thanks FK....yes thats the car...tried to edit the pic so i could draw the scratch on but altho it saves it, it doesnt upload it on here!!!.....will wait and see what she says when she rings and then take it from there....hopefully she'll agree to a bottle of T-Cut but I doubt it.....will keep you all informed though!
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

Well cos I'm not on top firm we are having a very quick n easy (&mse) chilli n rice

Outdoor reared pork mince £1, not the traditional meat I know, (thanks to you know who you are!), 1p adzuki beans from ages ago instead of kidney beans & homepride chilli cook in sauce 10p from ages ago. The basmati is Tesco value (I prefer basmati to easy cook etc).

Feel so rotten that I was considering a delivery meal
MSE instinct won in the end though!

I used the pork (yes, we all know what one it is ;) ) for chilli too, worked perfectly well, I could notice a slight diff in taste but OH didn't say anything and didn't seem to notice. Mine was made using a tin of 20p KTC kidney beans in chilli sauce from Mr A. Ahh....MSE Chilli, tastes all the better :rotfl:

Looby123 - sorry to hear about the car incident, it's horrible when something like that happens. x

i took a trip to S10ugh Xtra today, can report, no 4p scarves out of the ones I checked (and it looked like someone else had been checking them too as there was a pile chucked back next to the display), no Halloween toilet roll, no Plenty and no Flash, oh and no casserole dishes.

Found some 1/2 price Barbie (school) and Polly P boats, both scanning correctly, two types of Moon Sand sweet shops (one larger and both scanning correctly. Grocery store moon dough also all re-labelled and scanning correctly. Ocean Pals OOS.

Has anyone had any joy on a mis price with any other moon sand or dough around the same size as the Ocean Pals? I could really do with a diff one for a friend's daughter (got an Ocean Pals for her other daughter)

Oh, and no 22p pasta or 17p lasagne.

BUT, the Sacla Dallagio Red wine is still scanning at 99p (free if you have the £1 sacla vouchers) AND I did get DTD on Bright Starts Tiny Turtle and Friends play mat set. Priced £6.50 (1/2 price sticker) scanned at £12.95. UPC 0-74451 09008-8 I took two (one for my niece and one for an imminent arrival) but left another on the shelf.

    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.208-2721.aspx

Went to CS and the guy said 'oh I'll refund the diff' to which I said 'err, DTD' ...oh yes of couse he said :rotfl:

Also got a gorgouse little xmas all in one suit for my niece (spotty one with reindeer) and a little top for her b'day next year using CC exchange, did quite well all in all.

btw, when I got to store there was a lady in green shorts and a stripy t-shirt at CS, she was there again when I went back for DTD and then she went back into store again - wasn't one of you was it?
